Sydney Motorsports Park is a track that has given us problems in the past... and that trend has continued into both Free Practice sessions. Tomoyuki says that he thinks the team have found the issues that plagued us in both sessions and should have remedied them for qualifying and the race.

We ended up going a bit backwards in practice session 2, not entirely sure what went wrong but our drivers should be on form for the race. The other teams using a mixture of different compounds did make it harder to find accurate data on where our standing was relative to the rest of the grid, but we'll manage.

A less then ideal race for us today. Traffic was just brutal and the pace was just not there. Good effort by @wagoner and @maylandracing as well as our rookies

I think I mentioned in a previous Trip post that simulator work can only get you so far... yeah. It wasn't good. We didn't have the straightline speed to make passes, and our qualifying effort was horrendous. Humbling moment for me, to be sure.

We tried just about everything we could to make the car better from FP1 and FP2, but nothing worked. The car did come alive at the end of the race, and we at least managed to salvage a positive finish given our starting position, which is something to take to Sepang.

What an eye-opener. I did have some good battles in my stint, but the poor qualifying performance myself and @omori_mine_kazuya put in really made our race just an extended testing session at best. I really don't think the one-lap qualifying rule change helps us, either...

...I have no idea how I pulled that off in FP2. I basically ran it completely out of fuel on that lap, that's why I pulled off at the exit of the pit lane. @geoff_eastracer has helped me so much with getting around Long Beach, his experience is invaluable for me.

I'm willing to guess that out of all the grid starts I've ever done as a driver, that was the best one. The setup was perfect and we avoided any incidents or problems with the PRO class drivers. If the second of the @jraofficial Mustang GTCs hadn't had the run-in with the dying BunnyChan Rennsport KTM, I feel it would have been a lot harder to maintain that podium place, they had the speed all weekend. They have the talent to bounce back, they just need the luck that we somehow had for the first time ever at Long Beach.

I wouldn't call Marisa exactly successful, 5th and 14th are dreadful and Kasumi / Minami outmatch her. Far too much far too soon, needed one more year 😬😬😬

POLE POSITION RADIO 89.4MHz @ppositionradioApparently Round 3 of #JSpeedGTMasters has been postponed due to a severe weather alert yesterday. Despite the results of practice not being as spectacular as in Sydney, Bobster Racing Systems shown to be still in high spirits, with Chief Mechanic Daniele Gilbert treating the entire team to an authentic GARGANTUAN pot of Spaghetti Carbonara in the paddock.

I mean, even Pegasus and Equinox congratulated them and not a single shade of vitriol in those statements. That's the sporstmanship I wanna see

Victor_KristalKarter @waluigitime_@terrorbyteporygon Yes, and tbh I agree with that - the reason why everyone is quick to discredit a good result when is not their own is only because of bloody politics and they want to make the newer teams feel even less powerful than what they really are. The guys have potential, even tho they won't win ALL the races they will indeed be back on the map
