Raiden GTE PRO and AM Liveries Revealed @ Adelaide Street Circuit The first round of J-Speed was nearly fully prepared for all the Endurance teams in the Global Racing Leagues when suddenly, a red and white truck trailer labeled "Raiden" pulled up into the paddock. Not only that, a white and blue pulled up alongside it. Many spectators and press came up to the trailers wondering what the fuss was all about. The Raiden team had been very quiet about their cars since the last interview when the team manager announce they'd be running two Saleens. Their original concept livery design had red or white with stripes outlining the headlight line and lower sides of the car; plus having sponsors plastered like Zelster Timekeeping Devices and Extocharge. However, on their official website about a week ago, their original sponsors that was located on the right side of the banner had change to those such as "No. 1 Oils" and "Eastern-Marine". Those closely following the team were expecting different liveries since the original contracts might've not gone through as planned. They were right. As the trailer doors came rolling up, a few familiar and new faces made an appearance. Drivers Hannah Taylor and Amy Radcliffe stepped out and one car was rolled out, not in the usual dark red and white like originally, but something rather interesting and unique. Cameras from the press and spectators started flickering and clicking photos as a fiery orange Saleen with black and gold accents to compliment the base color came into light with the new sponsors as recently seen on their updated website banner. Just as everyone was starting see their first new car, the second one rolls out. Hannah Taylor's #11 is brought into view with a bright white base color and red and gold accents. That's when more and more spectators and press started to crowd the scene. The two beautifully striking Saleens were already taking notice. The team manager Cody Miller stepped out of the cab and greeted everyone there. "These are our monsters to take on the Pro category!" the manager exclaimed cheerfully. "And these two fine young ladies here will be piloting these ferocious machines. Wish them the best of luck this weekend!" But the surprises weren't over with just yet. Three more people in race suits, two male; one female, stepped forward. Just as they did, the other truck opened up with not one, or two, but three cars. As they rolled out, many were in awe, as three menacing SRT Viper GTS-R's rolled out in bright white with bright blue stripes running down the centerline. The spectators and press starting going wild over all of the new competition being shown. Three entries in Am?! "These are our Vipers we'll be using this season. Along with them, two fine young gentlemen and a fine young lady will be at the wheel of these ferocious cars." After introductions were finished, the crowd of press and spectators were taking photos like there was no time. It was odd for anyone to see itasha liveries on American cars, which usually is unthinkable, but to everyone at the event, it was something stellar to see in an Endurance series. The manager said in one press interview, "Since Raiden was originally a Japanese team, but reborn as an American team, we wanted to give an image of our bridge between American and Japanese cultures; basically mixing the two together." "Even with the good looking car lineup, we've got the competition to clear also. We've put many of our drivers through extensive training over the past few months, so hopefully we'll be looking to be competitive in the Pro/Am class, and even in the Works series." We certainly hope the best for Raiden, and the other teams as well! More news to come, as round 1 of J-Speed is just around the corner!

(This RP post begins all the way back at the beginning of July when Brenhylr and Ryan had their fair share of practice.) (From Ryan's point of view) Ah, this is what the beating sun of California is like, huh? Well, what better to spend the day than to get some practice in! Me and Brenhylr were at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca getting ready for a week of driver's training. If we were going to be relevant in the competition field, we had to get some prep in first beforehand. Being out in the heat reminds me of back in the day when I used to dirt kart with my own kart at my uncle's farm. Man, after this season maybe I should go visit that place. Tearing up the dirt in that kart was a hell of a fun time. Anyways, enough backstory. I want to get behind the seat of my first GT3! Just as I had recollected myself behind the pit garage, Cody was standing in there with a clipboard and headset ready to go. "Well, all set?" "You bet I am, Mr. Miller!" "Great! I'll introduce you to the car outside." I walked around the pit stall only to see not only Brenhylr, but two white SRT Vipers with wide sky-blue stripes streaking down the middle of the car, and on the side... a cartoon girl of some sort??? "Er, Mr. Miller, very stunning vehicles, but who are the cuties on the side of the car?" "Ahahaa! Those are "itashas"; a common thing that some racers in Japan use on their own cars. They're usually used to represent or mascot a certain brand. In this case, these are girls named after infamous Japanese battleships, hence representing the main sponsor Eastern-Marine." Ah, interesting! Raiden used to be a JGTC team back in the day afterall, so it's always interesting to learn about what Japanese culture is transferred over. After the boss gave us a look around the cars, we were finally able to get in and get started. Cody would be guiding us through radio coms while we broke in and got used to the new powerful GT3 machines. Just on the startup of the engines, the noise of them was menacing; but let's see how they are on track. After the warm-up lap, I broke out the throttle at the start of the straight; the menacing engine belted out a loud grunt and accelerated like a bat out of hell. I had the most idiotic grin on my face as I went into turn 1 and 2; the grip was unbelievable. On exit, the car was very loose as I had to fight the wheel to gain grip. What a machine! Just as I pulled out of turn 3, I saw out of the corner of my eye a figure on the end of one of the grandstands sitting and watching us go by. This was a private session, so who was that up there? All I could make image of was someone with fair-lengthed redish-orange hair. In that split second though, I shook it off as if I was seeing things and continued to focus on the track. I had just started to get used to the feeling of the car, when all the sudden, appearing after an uphill straight... one of the most infamous and feared corners of them all. The Corkscrew. I prepared for the corner as best I could, and as I clipped the first apex, the sheer drop made me feel like I was at a coaster park. Fortunately, it was quick, but that was quite the interesting experience. After a while, I had started clocking decent lap times, but before I knew it the late afternoon was upon Laguna Seca. It was a great session while it lasted. As I climbed out of the car, I could do nothing but have a big wide grin across my face. That was the best drive of my life! "Hey Bren, that was something else, huh?" He gave me a bit of a smile. Well, I know he's not much of a talker, but you have to admit, that was something special! The boss came up to us and showed us the notes he took on what we needed to improve on. We had a bit to make up for, but it'd be possible to get to racing condition in this week. Just this drive alone already had me hyped for season 2. Just as us and Cody started walking back to the pit stall, a voice from aside us appeared. "Congration of you twos first running!" I turned to see who looked exactly like who I saw in the grandstand! She had fairly-lengthed redish-orange hair and was just below my height; had fairly tanned skin and nice dark brown eyes. She also had a nice figure with a bit of- gah! Dirty thoughts get out of my head! * sigh* I guess that's what you get from hanging around two other fairly good looking girl drivers. "The name is Lauren Valeska. Is very of pleasing to meet you." A bit of a language issue I see... Eh, no big deal. At least I can interpret what she's trying to say. "As you've already heard, this is Lauren Valeska." Cody began. "She will be your third teammate for this season." Third teammate?! You mean we'll have five cars in total running out in field? That's crazy (but I'm not against it)! Well, this just got more interesting already. "So, erm, why wasn't she out on track with us today might I ask?" "She just wanted to have a good look around the track and see how you guys did before she got out there herself." Cody replied. I see. Well whatever the case, I was hyped for this season! I just hope all three of us will get an unforgettable experience behind the wheel of these machines. ---(Perspective switches to 3rd person) As the week went on, the three managed to get a good amount of training in at the Laguna Seca circuit. Each lap time got faster and faster as the manager's instructions and the self-improvement of the drivers seemed to have great effect on their now greatly improved driving skills. After the fact, they traveled back to the main office in San Francisco, where finalization of preparations will be made. (From Hannah's perspective) It was a nice and relaxing break for a good while, but now I'm ready to get back to some racing! I was at the Raiden HQ when I saw the guys and Lauren come back from their private training session. I got to meet her before she went to Laguna Seca; she seemed pretty nice despite the bit of language barrier. Just as I was coming in from the garage out back, Amy came rushing through to welcome them back. "Yayyeeeee, welcome back Brenny, Rye and Laurey!" Yes... those were the names she gave them. Don't ask. "Hey Amie! Very glad to seeing you again!" Lauren replied cheerfully as Amy attacked her... with hugs. I swear, I sometimes think Amy's ancestors were a rainbow and unicorns. Anyways now that we were all there, we started talking about our plans of action for the season ahead... which later dragged onto a conversation of nonsensical things as per usual, but before that we all agreed to put as much time into getting ourselves prepared as we could. There were 43 and 45 entrants in both Endurance leagues, so it was going to be a packed circuit; way more so than last season. If that was the size of field we were up against, then that's what we'd have to work towards. (Perspective switches back to Ryan) As I was on my way out of the office, I gave Cody my final paperwork for series entries. He stacked the papers neatly on the desk and said thanks. As I was just leaving the door, a question came to my mind. "Hey uh, Cody, I've never really heard you mention about your family..." "Family?" "Er, yeah." "I just have my mother and father retired and living outside of Los Angeles. My two sisters are on their own doing their own things." "Wife?" "..." Uh oh. Did I strike up a bad memory? "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked" "Oh no, it's all good. I've just never been married to a woman." WHAT?! He is in his late thirties though! How could he not have? "Any particular reason?" "It's not that I'm attracted to same sex or anything however. I've just... not had my luck. That's all. Anyways, thanks for the paperwork. I need to head to the garage and talk to the engineers" "Uh... okay." He quickly dashed out of his office with a paperclipped folder in which I'm assuming he was handing to the engineers. Man, poor guy. A man's got to have his love life at some point! Now I feel bad for asking in the first place... Anyways, I decided to get my guilt off my mind at the time and thought about the upcoming J-Speed round. Ever since I got behind the wheel of the Viper, I've just been straight up obsessed with racing; moreso than ever before! I just couldn't wrap my mind at the thought that I was competing in GT3. I'm just so hyped! Ahaha, but anyways I'm just thrilled for this season to start, and I sure do think the others are too. I just hope we can crank out some good results from the experience we've gained so far! The AM field is looking to be quite massive also, so I just hope we can outrun the others. Well, whatever the season throws our way, I say bring it! (End Part 1)

(Ryan's Perspective after J-Speed Round 2)
It was midnight after the second round of J-Speed had come to a close. Who knew winning a class race would be this exhausting? I had stood up on the podium, sprayed champagne at the other two on the podium. They were both Pezzarinho drivers, Halley Rockford and William Manor. I had finally beat the best team in the league in class and it was in just my 2nd race.
I had finally gotten back to the hotel room after being hounded by the journalists and cameramen, going through multiple interviews, etc. I turned off most of the lights and eagerly rolled onto the bed and layed there for a good while with my J-Speed had covering my eyes. I was so tired but could barely sleep; the win had me all overexcited and had me in a pool of thoughts. Thoughts of my past life where my father had always told me I never had the potential to be a race driver and what my future career might look like. I faded out into sleep as even just thinking has managed to tire me out.
Anyways, I woke up, took the elevator down and walked to the breakfast lounge where I could smell freshly prepared toast, waffles, eggs, you name it. I sighed in relief, as I really needed a good breakfast to get me going after the barrage of events that occurred following Bathrust. I then smelled a strange but familiar scent; almost like one of a freshly-groomed cat. Cat perfume? Who would want their perfume to smell like- oh wait, yeah...
"Rynieeee! Good spectacular beginning of sunshine day to youuuuuu!~" "Morning, Amy!"
I sat down at a table with seven chairs with Amy just a seat over from the one next to mine. I had gotten a good pile of scrambled eggs, three pancakes, bacon, 4 slices of Texas toast, two sausages, and two waffles. "Wowzie! Ya got the hungries!" I heard Amy exclaim from just beside me. "If I'm going to make it through the rest of this season, I'll need a breakfast like this before and after every race." I said as I started to eat my first sausage. A small buzz has startled me. It was my phone vibrating, and it was a notification from one of the Global Racing League officials. It read:
"Unfortunately, as it has arrived to our attention that some of the event organizers at the race venues are having issues on their end, IMAS Round 1 and J-Speed Round 3 will be put on hold until further notice."
Well dammit. That means I'll have to hang around back in San Francisco doing business over at the HQ while barely any practice is put in. Ah well, it gives me time to relax, recover, and prepare. Hopefully Mr. Miller allows us time to practice over said period of league activity hiatus. Speaking of the man himself, he had just arrived through the elevator in his red and white striped polo and black shorts. Good old Cody, wearing his team colors like he tries to do as often as possible. "You heard about what's going on with event issues?" I asked him as he walked up to the table sipping coffee which from his small reaction seemed bitter and strong. "Yes I have. It's very unfortunate, but at the same time fortunate because that just gives us all the more time to prepare and improve. Amy, Ryan, you two and your other teammates will be on practice most of the break to keep your driver skill where it is or better." "Yes sir!" we both responded. I suddenly heard a grouchy moaning and shuffling of feet from the stairwell that was next to the elevator. It was Lauren... a very tired and ready-to-pass-out Lauren that is.
"Oye, oye, kim sa ludzie...musze pieprzony sen...uwhhhhhh..."("Who are you people... I need fucking sleep...") she mumbled in Polish ever so tiredly.
She was still wearing her pajamas and had heavy dark circles under her eyes. Yikes, I don't think she's slept at all for a while; I doubt she has since Bathurst qualifying. She then limped and stumbled her way over to the table and went right to sleep as she rested her head on top of a chair. "Ehehe~ Wakey wakey Lauren, pakey." Amy singsonged as she poked at Lauren's shoulder. "Bede skonczyc..."("I will end you...") Lauren mumbled sternly in Polish as she was tiredly swatting at Amy's arm. " I had no idea what the hell she was saying, but I'm sure it wasn't pleasant considering how drained Lauren's mood is along with her energy. I heard one last ding from the elevator and it was both Brenhylr and... Hannah... Sheesh, I really need to get rid of all memory of the dream I had last night.
"G'morning all!" Hannah said cheerfully. "Hanny! Good beginning of sunshine to you and Brenny toooo~" Amy exclaimed as she had Hannah in a headlock- or rather a hug-lock. "Morning Miss Taylor, Mr. Rockford." Cody replied sincerely. "Tak, tak dobrze, niezaleznie od.....zzzzzzzzz"("Yeah, yeah good morning, whatever...*snoring*") Lauren said sleepily in Polish.
"Er, is she okay?" Hannah asked worryingly about Lauren. "Only slept an hour or two after the race." Cody replied. "Could barely sleep a wink after her first professional race." "Ah, boy. Reminds me of when I first started out here. Couldn't sleep because of the adrenaline of race day." Hannah said with a smirk across her face. "Anyways, I had an eye appointment with my doctor a few weeks ago. Said my vision was getting a bit hazy and I had noticed it myself, so I have a set of frames I need to pick up today. After that, I'll join the rest of you guys and maybe we can do something, yeah?" "Sounds good." Cody agreed. "I know I can be a bit overprotective at times, but could you have someone go along with you in case something happens, Hannah?" "Of course!" Hannah replied. "Ryan, if you don't mind it, I'd like you to go along with her." "M-me?" "Unless you'd like to stay with Brenhylr or Amie..." "Oh no sir! I'll go along with her." Dammit, me. I'm just as anxiously submissive as always. "Right. Everyone has free reign until 8:30PM. We all need to get back in time to rest and head for our flight to Malaysia tomorrow for Sepang." "Yes sir!" we all replied.
----------------------------------------------
We took Hannah's rental car to go to get her glasses frames, which was about 30 minutes away. Just as she exited the parking lot, she looked straight forward toward the road with a bit of a smile on her face. "So, your first race win was last night. First of to be many, eh?" "Hope so!" I replied with a bit of a laugh. "I remember my first race win last season at Sepang. I was stormin' my way through the pack. Driver in the lead had spun; it was Aaron van der Linden of Allstar Racing. I managed to snatch the lead until my friend Hilde from the Tsukuyomi came up behind me." "Oh, Aaron was actually up in the top spots? How'd he spin?" "Cornered too hard and went into my rear quarter panel. Couldn't save the car and spun into the gravel." "And Hilde?" "Same thing. Overshot the corner when she tried to overtake." "Yikes! Sounds like luck was on your side that time around." "With both of them having spun out, it was very much so!" It was actually quite enjoyable talking to her. We started to go on about some crazy mid-race experiences we had witness throughout our entire career, but just before we could get halfway through one story, we had arrived at the eyeglasses store. It was in a part of a decent-sized strip mall, with mostly clothing stores and restaurants surrounding the area. We went on inside, and while she was getting them, I had looked at a few frames myself. I actually used to wear glasses myself, but I never really looked good in any frame. That's when I just went directly to contacts with no problem. Just as I had put some rather ovaly-looking glasses back on the rack they were on, I turn to see Hannah with her new frames and- ...wow.
"How'd you think they look, Ryan?"
It was almost as if I was looking at an entirely new face. A... very gorgeous one at that. Just the frames alone made her look sharper; the borders were emphasizing her electric light blue eyes. You look like the most beautiful girl that's ever been introduced on God's green Earth is what I wanted to say so badly, but that'd just be embarrassing. I just decided to calm down and give a polite response.
"You look absolutely stunning." I decided to say but tensed up slightly thinking I still said too much. "Really? Thanks. That means a lot to me..." she said looking down with a slightly red face. "Anyways, I was thinking maybe we could go around and look at some of the other stores here? Just you and me?" "Are you sure? Amy just texted me and said that we should meet up at the shopping centre in their area in about an hour." "Just for a little bit?" Just do it, Ryan! Stop being so evasive. "Ahaha, alright alright." "Awesome! I know of a good place we can get a good lunch." "What's the name of the place." "No need to ask, just come with me!" she exclaimed enthusiastically as she grabbed me hand and lead me towards the place. This felt like a date now. Was it a date? I'm probably overreacting again. I was distracted from my thoughts with my phone buzzing. I took it out while Hannah was still leading me along. It was from Brenhylr, and with just the text "help". I wonder what was going on over there...
-----------------------------------------------
(From Lauren's perspective)
I was being of tired as heck this morning. Luckily, Bren was had some neat energy drink. Rocket 7 I think it was named. It was really of helping to my tiredness and could finally talk of my English once more. Anyway, Bren, me, and Amy had been heading to of shopping place. "Hiya Brenny, whatcha drinkin' thereee?" Amy had said enthusiastic. "It is Rocket 7. Powerful energy drinks." I did of responding. "Oooh! Amy wanna try!" she had been bouncing up-downwards. "Just tiny sip, ok?" I had told her. Bren nodded at me of agreement and gave can to Amy. Before I could reacting, she had gone to chug the other half of that can! Bren had very worried expression on the face. "Yicky! That stuff is very bittery bitter to this feline's tongue. Brenny why are you looking - ehehe- so scardey- ehehehe..." Amy had to starting of giggle, and got louder and louder. I think she would explode from amount of energy the drinks gave her! I did saw Bren pull his phone out saying "Fucking shit..." under his breathe. The insanity of Amy drinking the Rocket 7 would only do of escalating. This was no going to be good.
(To be continued...)

(From Ryan's perspective, continuing off Part 1 of the last post)
"Hey! I think we should head to that cafe over there! I always went there on my way to local events a few years ago." "Well, if you say it's good, then let's do it!"
We were heading into a bit of a southern-style cafe restaurant. Hannah mentioned how she always came up here when she finished her racing training at Bathurst. I come in the place and within seconds hear a loud booming voice. It sounded louder and more annoying than a ricer's homemade fart can exhaust pipe.
"HANNAH, DARLING! HOW ARE THESE DAYS?!" "I'm doing just great, Misses Klauz!"
From what I could tell, "Misses Klauz" was the owner of this place. Seeing as how Hannah mentioned she went up here often, they seemed to know each other like they were the best of friends. She looked like she was in her late 50's. had frizzy red hair, a striped red and white shirt with overalls covering it, and massive shoes. You could almost call them pontoons.
"Oh, apologies for my rudeness. I would like to introduce my teammate, Ryan Snetterton." "YOUR BOYFRIEND IS CERTAINLY A HANDSOME FELLA. I'M PROUD OF YOU HANNAH." "Ssssshhhhh! W-wait a minute now! I just said he was my teammate-" "AHAHAHAHA! IT'S NEVER A DULL MOMENT WITH YOU MISS HANNAH." she laughed loudly and patted her on the shoulder. "ANYWAYS, PLEASE YOU TWO. HAVE A SEAT AND I'LL TAKE YOUR ORDER."
We had taken a seat closest to the front window. I just got some water and a ham n' cheese sandwich while Hannah got a BLT and iced tea.
"AHHH, SO THE USUAL BLT AND ICED TEA. REMINDS ME OF YOUR TWO SISTERS EVERY TIME YOU ORDER IT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU FIRST CAME HERE. HOW ARE THEY?" Wait, Hannah has two other sisters?! "Oh, I know Katie is doing alright. She's still making her way up into the Touring category. Jessica... I'm not sure... Last I heard she had been considered for a Works team position." "WELL TELL THEM I SAID HI. I'D LIKE TO SEE THOSE TWO UP HERE WITH YOU AGAIN."
Just as Miss Klauz left the table, I needed to ask Hannah about her sisters. I've not even heard about them before!
"Two sisters, huh?" "O-oh, um, yeah. They're my twin sisters. Jessica and Katie." Twin sisters? So they were triplets?! "Sorry I didn't tell you earlier. Actually I'm quite surprised you don't know of Jess. You told me that you kept up with World GP, yeah?" "Not since many years ago. Not to sound selfish or anything, but I've just wanted to focus on my racing career path." "In that case, makes sense. She just got into World GP this year, and she's already qualified to be in a Works team for next season." "Really?! That early?!" "She's the biggest prodigy out there, so I'm not in any way surprised. Although I don't want to believe that a person like her would be at the top of the Grand Prix leagues." ...I have a feeling there's a bad side to this. I was about to ask what she was talking about, but before I could say anything, a bright green McLaren P1 pulled up into the lot with carbon fibre splitters and skirts. The butterfly-style driver door opened up and two feet came out of the car with what looked like very expensive sneakers. The person stepped up and out; she appeared to be around the same age as Hannah, was wearing dark aviators and tracksuit clothing that was... unusually skin tight, and had the same blonde color that Hannah had, but it was in curls. Was this one of her sisters? "Shit..." Hannah said under her breath as she entered the place. I had a bad feeling about the events that were about to unfold.
"Hannah! How ya doinnnn'?" her sister said cheerfully. Hannah held silent. "Awhhhh well that's not nice! My own sister isn't going to say hi to meeee?" "This is Jessica." Hannah said monotonously to me as Jess was using her head as an armrest. "Oooooh Hannah! I didn't know that you had your first boyfriendddddd. Took you long enough." "He's not my boyfriend." Hannah said, slightly irritated. "And you can't even keep a relationship with a guy for more than a week." Just as she said that, Jessica's face went from bright to stone cold. She threw off her aviators, yanked Hannah's ponytail, and forced her face to look directly into her face. "Hannah, listen to me for just... one... second." she said irritatedly with a little growl in her voice. She had kept pulling on Hannah's hair between the pauses in her words. "You may not be as good looking as I am, but it's quite surprising that you've refused to even hook up with someone at this point. If you keep holding off like this, you'll eventually end up past your prime; a useless, old bitch that nobody wants. You wouldn't want that, right?" "Stop..." Hannah said trying to keep firm. What the hell was her problem?! "Stop? Oh I could go on all day. I could tell your friend here about all of the horrible things I know about-" "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I said, interrupting her speech. "You've got some nerve talking to your own sister like that in front of me." She stood up from the table "Oh and you, Endurance silver amateur scum, got some nerve telling me, a world-class GP driver, to shut my mouth. I could sue you for amounts of money that you could never dream of even having in your entire career, so watch what you say." "You better do so yourself! I don't think any Works team would want hire someone who regularly uses that kind of vulgarity." Jessica started cracking her knuckles and walked furiously towards me. She reached in at my shirt collar and nearly grabbed it before- "Stop it you two! Enough!" Hannah shouted. Her hands were in fists by her side and shaking. Jessica turned around and looked and gave a fake sympathizing expression. She went over to where Hannah was sitting and wrapped her arms and hands around her neck. "I'm so, so sorry sis. Mr. Holier-Than-Thou prickface was stirring up unneccessary controversy. I can make sure that you're never near such a thing ever again. You've always wanted to take a steop into Grand Prix, correct? I think I can make a deal to get you into a Works team. You're getting quite good, yeah? That Auschwitz of a training camp your careless team manager put you through might have just paid off. Come with me, and you can forget everything about this shitty team that you're stuck with." Damn her for talking about our team like that! "No..." Hannah said with a bit of a shakiness in her voice. "Do it." Jessica said firmly, tightening her grip slightly around Hannah's neck. "Stop..." Hannah replied, sounding more irritated. "FUCKING DO IT." Jessica said with a nasty growl, gritting her teeth and putting an even tighter grip around her neck. I was boiling with anger, and went over to force release the grip that was being pressured on her neck. Before I could do so, the sound of kitchen doors being swung open had all turned our heads to see Miss Klauz herself. Thank God. I thought that it would never end. "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, WHAT'S ALL THE RACKET OUT HERE?" Miss Klauz shouted, coming out from behind the kitchen doors. "Oh... my... gosh!!!! Miss Klauz!" Jessica yelled cheerfully and ran over to her. As she was busy over there hugging her, Miss Klauz gave us the signal to go on ahead and go. "Come on, let's go back to the hotel." I said calmly to Hannah as she was biting her lip. I put money on the table with a fair tip and walked outside to the car.
We had gotten back into the car and drove back towards the hotel. It was raining lightly and it looked like worse was to come. I hope our flight wasn't going to be delayed. I looked over to my right, and Hannah was in the passenger seat with her right hand over her face. I couldn't blame her, the stuff that her sister said to her was brutal beyond belief. It amazes me how people don't realize what they say to others and how much it affects them. World GP was definitely a goal of mine to win a few championships, but an even greater one was on my mind. I wanted to beat Jessica Taylor and steal her Works GP position. It sounds like I'm dreaming, like I'm in some fantasy world of my own that I wish everything went my way, but it was true. I was not going to be satisfied until I have surpassed the ability of Jessica's. I pulled into the hotel parking lot. Hannah was still in the same position as she was when I last looked over. I tugged her sweater and she uncovered her face. She already had tears rolling down her face, and she was trying to hold it all in. I needed to put closure to the situation that had happened. I leaned over the center console, and I put my arm around her other shoulder. She put her face into my shoulder and started sobbing uncontrollably as she intensely gripped my back. "I don't understand..." Hannah sobbed in between her words. "She was a great sister... she was so kindhearted... I don't know why she's like how she is now." It kind of hit me hard as she said that. To be around a completely different person that you once knew as someone special to you is heartbreaking. I had felt that way before myself. It's painful because it's if they didn't even recognize who you were anymore. "All of this world-class money and fame at her young age," I said "It's probably gotten her thinking way too haughtily. I've known a good amount of people who had gotten rich and completely changed their attitude. Usually it was more arrogant..." A short pause followed afterward. "But I want to change something. Cody's taking more of a Grand Prix discipline route this season. That's great for what I want to do." "...and that is?" "I want to beat Jessica when I get up to World GP. I need to show her that winning isn't everything." "I don't think she'll be too bothered by one win." "No, I need to take her Works contract." "But how'll you be able to do that?" "I need to work on my driving skills." I replied with a sigh. "Really, I just want to see you to be happy with her again." "It's okay." she said, sounding calmer than she was before. "You really don't need to. Besides, I kind of would like a shot at it myself." "We'll get there soon. Don't worry" I reassured her.
I released my shoulder as I unlocked the passenger doors and we got out of the car. We walked into the hotel and saw in the lobby Bren and Lauren who were exhausted and Amy was... napping on the bench next to Cody.... wait hold on. Amy was napping?! She never naps during the day!
"Hey boss." I said to Cody. Hannah stood still next to me. "Welcome back!" he greeted us. "Those frames look quite nice on you Miss Taylor." "Thank you sir." she smiled. "By the way, what happened to those three?" I asked. "Oh." Cody rolled his eyes as he closed the sports magazine he was reading. "Amy wanted to try a sip of Bren's Rocket 7 energy drink. She apparently took more than one sip." "How much did she drink?" "...half the can." Cody hesitantly replied. "Good grief." I said, rolling my eyes as well. "Jeeze..." Hannah said as she facepalmed and walked over to Amy. "Ames, you already had enough energy to power the International Space Station! That energy drink is powerful stuff." "IIIiiiiiii sorrrryyyyyyyyyyy, nyaaaaaaaaaaa." Amy mumbled, half asleep. "Well, I'll be up in my room if any of you guys need anything. It's been a hell of a day." Hannah said to everyone. "Yeah, I might as well." I followed. "We'll be in ours in a few minutes ourselves. I need to finish one final thing on the laptop." Cody replied.
We both went in the elevator and stood. I was relieved that I'd finally have a good rest before we fly off tomorrow. Just as we stepped off, Hannah tugged the wrist of my jacket and I turned around to see a her sweet smile. It was good seeing that expression of hers again.
"Thanks," she said in a whispery voice. "for standing up to my sister for me. You really are a great teammate to have." "Just have to look out everyone on my team. They're like family to me." I responded. "Well, I'll see you tommorow..." she said as she turned me by the chin... and kissed me on the cheek... She walked to the end of the hallway and entered her room and smiled at me as she went in.
Did she really just... There's no way... My reflection, my face is really red... My face feels like it was about to explode... Why am I dizzy... Oh shit everything is turning black...
I passed out on the floor.
(To be continued.)

END OF SEASON 2 -> BEGIN SEASON 3
Well, that's another season of RHverse down.
Not the best, but definitely wasn't too terrible. The Saleen S7 was a hell of a car to get to grips with though. Even through those rigorous training sessions in the pre-season, I still had difficulty getting a handle on how it drove. Then again, 700hp is a lot to handle in the first place. Anyways, the season had a bit of a rough start for me and Amy. We were sat at the back of our class for the first several races. Cody didn't loose faith in us, however; "You're trying your hardest and doing excellently on your part. I need to improve on mine, so keep on going!" is what he said to me after the third round of J-Speed GT Masters. Afterwards, we had made good progress, but we had been falling behind financially and development-wise. Keeping up with the other teams on engineering development was a hassle, and it wasn't too long after that when Ricardo Lionheart himself stated that he was stepping down. Momoko Murasama's proposed changes to the league gave us assurance that a lot of weight would be lifted off our backs. I don't blame Ricardo, though. His ideas sounded really good on paper, but it just didn't work out as expected in the end.
Everything about season 2 was finally over. We could move on to yet another season of door-to-door tightly knit racing battles. Cody had plans he wanted to discuss while we were still with him; however, our flight back to California would be taken without one person. His flight would be a day later and over to Atlanta, Georgia, where his sister and parents reside. It's a bit sad saying good-bye to a teammate so early, but I'm not sure how Bren himself feels about it. Same could be said for Amy as well, because those two have been awfully close to each other. Ever since the beginning of the season, Amy hasn't talked to me nearly half as much as she used to. Most of that time was spent making conversation with Bren, and from what I've seen over the course of the season, his mood has improved significantly. Guess that's what happens when you talk to the embodiment of a rainbow. Hell, she even held his hand at a couple of points. I wouldn't be surprised if they're secretly dating or something. Maybe I can get back at her for teasing me so much about me being "super duper in looooovvveeee" with Ryan.
"Well, that's the call to our gate." Cody said after the announcement of our plane starting boarding was made. "I will do miss Florida." Lauren said to herself with a sigh. "Such a very beautiful area." "Indeed." Ryan responded with a nod.
Our walk to the gate was a bit silent; that including Mr. Miller who is very communicative with us. It had been a long race as well as a long season. I was tired as hell and just wanted to take a nap as soon as we boarded. I looked over to Ryan, who was stumbling a bit to the side every few steps he took. His eyes had dark circles beneath them.
"Didn't sleep well?" "Long night... yeah." "Come here, I've got you." I said as I put my around his shoulder, keeping him upright. "Thanks..." he exhaled exhaustedly.
Before we lined up, all of us said our farewells to Bren. It was a bit painful seeing him stand in the distance with his head tilted down as we started boarding the plane. Amy broke out of line to say her final goodbyes (or so I think) to Bren, but the gate was about to close in a few minutes.
"Come on Amy, we need to go!" I shouted from the entrance. "Ah-oh, okayyyy!!! Just one more quick thing!" Amy responded.
Amy then put her arm around Brenhylr's neck and kissed him on the lips- wait WHAT?!
"See ya Brenny! Hehehe~" she giggled as she ran towards the terminal entrance and grabbed my arm. I was nearly frozen and my mouth was still wide open from what I just saw happen in front of me. "Sheeshies! I know your feet are sleepy from the race, but speedy it up!" "We're going to have a bit of a talk when we're seated on that plane." "Yikes! You're scaring me Hanny. What did I dooooo wrong???"
We went through the plane door and loaded our quite hefty carry-on into the overhead compartments. I had a seat in the back next to Amy, while the others had their seats nearer towards the front.
"So Amy... who's the new boyfriend you got?" "AAaaaaahhh... that's what 'tis about..." she sighed and shook with a bright red face. "Come on, I'm just messin' with ya. You make these kind of jokes about me and other drivers all the time." "Y-yeah, but... it's for realsies though. We're for real together now..." she quietly said, messing with her thumbs. "I guess that makes sense. I'm surprised you've kept it a secret for this long though and that you've not even told me about it." "I mean of course I'm very super secret abouts it, but I should've told you earlier. You're my bestie after all." "Don't worry. It's not much of my business to barge in to your personal space. I'm happy for you though; he seems like a nice guy." "He really really is. I'll miss him thoughhhh." "Plan to visit him during the off-season?" "Brenny's going to be busyyyy. I wish..." "Bummer! Well, I'm sure you'll see him during the season if he's onboard with another team." "Yea..." Amie sighed, looking out the window as the plane was tugged from the gate. "But at least I have youuuuuu~!" she exclaimed as she hugged me from the side tightly. "Hahaha, you really are an irreplaceable teammate." I smiled. The whole plane ride back to the US, she had slept with her head on my shoulder. This reminded me of when things like this in the first season got noticed by gossip journalists, saying that we were secretly in a relationship or some nonsense like that. In reality though, I just think Amy is in love with everyone and everything, not just Bren.
A slightly chillier San Francisco greeted us as we stepped out of the airport terminal. When we got to the team van, Cody looked back at me with a confident smile. "Miss Taylor. I've got a special someone waiting at the HQ." "Oh?" I responded. His only response was a joyful smile. Who could it be? If it was a 'special someone', it'd have to be someone I know very well. The only people I could think of was Sara Hockenheim, who might guide me further with GP racing techniques in the off-season; or either one of my sisters. Knowing that the latter was most likely Jess, I hoped for the former or something else. Home sweet home... away from home. It was finally good to be back in California at the team headquarters after the lengthy season we had. As we stepped out the van and gathered our things, Cody cleared his throat loudly and beckoned us toward the building. My walking pace got quicker, as my anxiousness wouldn't be satisfied until I saw who it was. I pushed open the heavy door, and.... there's no way...
"Welcome back, Hannah!!!" "...Katie. Is that you?!" "Oh dear! I shouldn't keep changing the color of my hair so often that's my fault I'm so very sorry you couldn't recognize me earlier-" "It's been so long! I can't believe it!!!" I shouted as I embraced my sister, who I had not seen since the first season of my RHverse career. Katie (her real name is Cathryn) had been spending a lot of her time in driver development programs. She managed to get to a high silver-tier driver level within that time, and she's looking at a gold ranking sooner than she, or I for that matter, initially thought. Anyways, I admit I cried; just a little. I thought I'd not see or hear much from her again, but I've been proven wrong. I'm glad, though. "I-I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry!" "No no, don't apologize. I'm so happy to see you again." I released her from my embrace, and I turned around to a bunch of confused faces from my teammates. It might be a good idea to introduce her right about now. "Oh, my apologies! I should introduce her to all of you. This is my twin sister, Cathryn." "I-It's very nice to meet you all!" she exclaimed nervously. Everyone had stepped forward to introduce themselves.
"Am Lauren. Very nice to meeting you!" Lauren stepped forward first. "W-wow! You have v-very beautiful orange hair. And it's n-nice to meet you!" Cathryn smiled. "Thank you very so much! You of doing so as much well!" Lauren smiled back. "Ryan Snetterton," he stepped forward next. "It's a pleasure to meet you." "It's nice to meet you M-Mr. Snetterton. I watched you r-race Bathurst on live TV! I was h-happy to see you win!" "You have my gratitude." "Hey hiiiii!!!!" Amy quickly sprinted forward. "Le name is Amie Radcliffe, but you can call me super-duper Amieeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!" "I-it's so nice to meet you! In the f-few times that me and Hannah have gotten in t-touch, she's said nothing but fantastic things a-about you." "Awwwwwhhhh!!! Thanks bestie!" "Of course!" I nervously laughed.
All of us talked with Katie for a good 30 minutes. I had noticed a change in her from when I left home in S1; despite her still having major anxiety and a stutter in her speech, she was miles more cheerful than before. I think motorsport has finally given her something to be passionate about, and it certainly has helped with her mood. As soon as the conversation started to trail off, Cody cleared his throat before he stated what he had to say. "I'd like to gladly announce to all of you that Cathryn will be joining us in Season 3." "YAYYY!!!" Amy cheered loudly. "Welcome to the team!" the rest of us said. "I... t-thank you so much! I can't express my g-gratitude enough!" she said with a bright smile. "With that said, I shouldn't keep you guys here too much longer. You all have off-days to take! I'm going to head home myself, so you all have fun! Don't worry about locking up the office. Anastasia has the keys." "Thank you very much Mr. Miller." I responded. "Enjoy your days off as well!"
Well, it certainly feels good to have some relaxing days given to us. I'll be spending my time visiting family in Australia with Katie. After season 2, it was finally good to settle down once again, but I wondered what the other's have in mind. Ryan was the nearest person to me still sitting in one of the lounge chairs, so I asked him first.
"Anything in particular planned for your days off?" "Me? Hmm..." he thought for a moment. "Probably just staying in the local area really." "What about family?" I asked, which just after his response I regretted asking. "My parents refuse to contact me or even see me. I would visit my uncle, but he passed away well before the season started." "Oh... I'm so very sorry. It was rude of me to ask that." "Oh no, please don't worry! I gave you no knowledge of it beforehand, so please don't blame yourself." "But, you're just going to be by yourself the entire time?" "Yeah. I'll be alright though." I didn't want to nag him about it, but all I could feel at the time was guilt. "You can go with me and Cathryn to Australia if you'd like. I don't want you to be alone." "Hannah, it really is okay. I don't want to get in the way of you seeing family." "You won't. You basically are family to me now. Well, not in the literal sense but, you get what I mean." Ryan, with an expression of concern, hugged me tightly. "Hannah. I'm seriously going to be alright." "Please, Ryan. Besides, there's no one I want to be around more than you." Ryan held silent for a moment, then released me from his embrace. "You're the last person I want to discomfort. I'll gladly go with you, but at least let me pay for my own plane ticket. I already feel quite guilty for you being so nice to me." "Of course." I sighed in relief. Even though he was using his own money, I was more than likely still going to pay him back for it anyways.
After talking with Ryan, I had gone to the others to see what they'll be up to. Amy would be going to northern California to visit her family, and Lauren would be flying back to Poland to visit hers as well. I was excited to see my mother again; I had run into her when she watched me in the grandstands at Adelaide, and she has been nothing but supportive of all three of her daughters. If there was one thing I was most thankful for in life, it had to be my mother and her endless support; without her, I would've never had the drive to do what I do now. I honestly can't wait for Ryan to meet her, and the rest of the family really.
[END... or so you thought]
*phone ringing*
...
"Mr. Takuri speaking." "Hey there. I know I'm supposed to be on vacation, but I'd like to schedule a time when we can maybe introduce you to the team?" "Can't you just do that during testing?" "Well yes, but I think planning with the entire team about the season before testing starts would be beneficial." "..." "Hello?" "I'll see what I can do. Please call me later, though. It's 3:00 AM here in Japan." "O-oh deary me! I sincerely apologize for interrupting your sleep Mr. Takuri. I'll definitely call you back later." "Thanks. Have a good day."
*hangs up*
*sigh* "What a kooky team manager. Oh well, as long as I get a seat on a team, that's all I care about and nothing more."
