{Spoiler}Formerly known as Yamasaki Motor Sport, Luna Corse is a Yokohama-based Japanese racing team. With its roots traced back to the 80s, the team was brought into fruition as a small tuner shop located in Hiratsuka, spearheaded by Akio Yamasaki and specializing in British cars.
The shop became popular after securing a partnership deal with a foreign J-Speed GT Masters team and taking the Japanese motorsport scene by surprise with their exploits. The team would achieve significant success with Akio’s son, Daisuke Yamasaki and his teammate Yui Kashiwazaki behind the wheel; but given the strong competition, a championship win still wasn’t within reach.
After the end of the partnership, the shop became a full-fledged racing team, using the expertise and knowledge acquired throughout the years to be a step closer to the pinnacle of Japanese motorsport. However, things wouldn’t go as planned. Despite having raw pace, the program was marred by reliability issues and a never-ending streak of bad luck.
The next season would produce even worse results, severely affecting the team’s reputation and morale, which would indirectly lead to a disaster at Fuji Speedway, resulting in Yui’s retirement from racing. Despite avoiding death, Yui would never be able to race again, and feeling responsible for everything that happened, Daisuke would retire as well, resulting in the team’s dissolution.
Years later, picking up the pieces of what once was known as Yamasaki Motor Sport and on a quest to overcome the past, Daisuke returned and Luna Corse was born. Mainly focusing on sports car and open wheel racing, the team has a strong presence on the lower ranks, developing talents and winning championships such as the Saikou no Taikyu League, the Japanese and the Continental Super Grand Prix. However, their sights are set on the biggest glory of the Japanese motorsport, the J-Speed GT Masters championship, looking to accomplish their goals before taking on the world.
