Profile:
Born into a family whose heritage traces back to royal kings, emperors, and similar ruling officials, Rushdi Hakimi grew up surrounded by insane wealth and massive displays of excess. But for him, the appeal of mirror-sheen pearl-and-diamond floors, entire rooms stacked with gold bars, and a mansion as tall as some "small" skyscrapers wore thin as Rushdi matured. Sure, he was going to be all set for his entire life, as would his potential future children and even grandchildren. Having taken up a mixture of arts ranging from traditional paintings to composing bangin' hard drum-and-bass tracks for the discerning party-goer, Rushdi quickly made his impression known on a worldwide scale.
Rushdi's "partying artist" lifestyle spilled out onto the streets one night while he was touring overseas in Japan; having brought a massively customized Toyota Supra to the Wangan Line, his highway cruise would quickly flare up into an epic 200+ MPH brawl with several of the Japanese underground's fastest racers. Lacking the mechanical respect and driving skill to actually keep up, however, Rushdi ended up in a high-speed slide. He was lucky not to wreck anything but his ego that night.
Having eaten a rather massive slice of humble pie, but still running with a true driving lover's adrenaline, Rushdi did not give up racing. He did decide that street racing was definitely not the way to go, and thus moved to Japan to learn the art of car control. There, Rushdi raced in the humbler sports coupes native to the country. He soon moved on to club-level Grand Prix racing to discipline his inner aggression as a driver, and he would be rewarded several impressive podium finishes throughout the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Since becoming a racer, Rushdi has calmed in his temperament considerably. Despite this, Rushdi seems to attract a big rave party wherever he races. If he's not laying down driving beats for the dance floor, he's tearing up the tarmac alongside his fellow racers. For him, the WRA events are where he can let both his inner competitor AND his inner artist out. For him, the sport appeals because in his words, "The car does not care about your nationality, age, gender, or orientations. If you are a good racer, you will, of course, win."
RP Notes:
- Due to his moment while "cruising" the Wangan Line once, Rushdi has a unique disdain for drivers whose background is heavily founded on street racing. Ironic considering his specialty of choice...
- Having indulged himself in modern Japanese culture, Rushdi is a bit of a dork (putting it lightly). He's a massive fan of the in-universe anime and manga "Magical Mech-Maiden Frederica-sama".
- As a very wealthy traveling artist, Rushdi lacks a LOT of middle-class sensibilities; even after he moved to Japan, he is only just recently familiar with concepts such as convenience stores, fast food, and made-for-TV drama shows.
