Team Manager: Laura Exige ( lotusendurogt )
Team Summary:
"Midnight Evolution by Lotus (MEbyL) is a rookie motorsport team founded in 2020 by Australian ex-street racer Laura "Lotus" Exige and fielded by her teammate, Kira Yamamoto, also a former street racer. Both racers formed the team based on their desire to go legitimate after being engrossed in the street scene throughout the 2010's, as well as to make a name for themselves in the world of motorsports. Midnight Evolution's primary specialty is with sportscar racing as much of the cars are based heavily on their road-going counterparts, which were raced constantly on the streets.
As part of their debut season, Midnight Evolution plans to race in the IMAS GT Championship in the GTE AM class as a way of dipping their toes into the motorsport world. The team has relatively high hopes in terms of getting results, as they hope the skills they've learned racing in the underground translates to an official setting."
Team Roster:
Laura Exige
Nationality: Australian-Filipino
Birthday and Age: November 3, 24 years old
Profile:
The young, eccentric owner-driver of Midnight Evolution, Laura "Lotus" Exige is a transgender female racer who once belonged to the streets and is now looking to get into the professional racing world. Born to a loving family; a mother, father and soon a younger sister, Laura's interest in cars and racing stemmed from playing racing games at the age of four. Throughout her childhood, she was a rather introverted individual due to often being bullied in school due to her dedication to her studies and her interest in video games, cars and motorsports over typical jock sports such as football and soccer. After graduating from high school, Laura's parents gifted her with her first car; a shiny white Lotus Exige which shared the same namesake as her. Laura would use this car to try to break her introversion by getting involved with her local car community, participating in various events such as car meets, racing festivals and drag racing competitions.
Once she reached her second year of university, Laura would try to branch out to different street scenes around the world, starting with Los Angeles, California. Here, she would encounter the mysterious Kira Yamamoto and her car, "Scorn", a white and blue Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX with a dark history behind it. After being caught admiring the car, Kira would challenge Laura to a race, believing she was more worthy of its ownership instead. After Laura won the race, she was granted Kira's permission to keep the Lancer, while also forming somewhat of a friendship with her.
Upon finishing her third and final year in university, Laura would make the most important decision of her life; she would come out as a trans female. She would undergo this drastic change due to multiple factors; mostly dabbling with crossdressing after graduating from high school and wrestling with insecurities that came about from previously identifying as male at the time. She would also use this as an opportunity to look to new horizons with her racing career by going legit and dabbling with the world of professional motorsports, starting her own racing team, Midnight Evolution, as its owner-driver. Laura would sign on her friend, Kira, as her second driver, as the two now plan to take on the motorsport world and make a name for themselves there.
RP Notes:
- Pronouns are she/her
- Goes by the nickname "Lotus", hence "Midnight Evolution by Lotus". Would usually prefer to be called as such, though she doesn't mind when people call her Laura.
- Somewhat socially inept, but she's rather bubbly and eccentric
- Has a relatively sizable collection of cars outside of her motorsport career. Currently on hand, she has her Lotus Exige, Lamborghini Aventador and "Scorn", the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX formerly belonging to Kira.

Kira Yamamoto
Nationality: Japanese
Birthday and Age: March 9, 26 years old
Profile:
Kira Yamamoto is the very definition of an enigma. Prior to her fateful encounter with Laura Exige, not much seemed to really be known about her past. All that is known about her is her connection to her old white and blue Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, "Scorn", and its eternal grudge against a black and red Subaru Impreza WRX STI known as "Remnant". According to the stories from the street scene, it was said that Kira was an experienced street racer on the Shuto Expressway, however the one car that would always overcome her was Remnant, the black and red Impreza. Her tolerance of Remnant grew thin as she continued to be bested by the car, to the point where in one encounter, she would attempt to take the black Subaru out in a fit of rage. The maneuver failed and ultimately resulted in Kira and her Lancer wiping out and leaving her hospitalized for months.
After she recovered and was admitted from the hospital, Kira had changed. Her disdain for Remnant had overrun her since she spent every waking moment in the hospital haunted by that godforsaken car. Fueled entirely by her desire for revenge, Kira would rebuild her crashed Lancer and retune it to its maximum potential with the sole purpose of getting back at the black Impreza that taunted her on the road and in her nightmares. Her search for Remnant lasted months and would eventually culminate in a fated battle on the Shinkanjo line of the Shuto Expressway, where Kira and Scorn would finally prevail as the victor, after what felt like an era of torment.
Kira and Scorn would disappear from the streets of Tokyo, ultimately taking refuge in Los Angeles, where she would atone for leaving a figurative "path of destruction" on the Shuto Expressway in her revenge-fueled search for Remnant after leaving the hospital after her crash. Years later, Kira would meet with Laura Exige, who had taken interest in Scorn after hearing the stories of her and her car. Believing Laura was worthy of taking ownership of the car instead of her, she would race the pink-haired woman, who prevailed as the victor and became the owner of Scorn. The two would eventually become close friends, and eventually, teammates, as Laura signed her on as part of the "Midnight Evolution" team in the world of professional motorsports.
RP Notes:
- She radiates an almost otherworldly aura to her. This same aura can also be felt around her Lancer Evo, Scorn
- Very reserved and quiet around her peers. As a result, she normally tends to avoid press interviews before and after races
- Due to her past, she has an irrational distaste for Subaru as a whole and, by extension, the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Jiotto Caspita
Felicity Weber
Nationality: British
Birthday and Age: January 4, 30 years old
Profile:
Felicity Weber is a car spirit whose vessel is based off the 1992 Championship winner of the World GP. After the conclusion of the 1992 season, her vessel was put away into storage in her team's headquarters, primarily as a display piece in the HQ's museum. In 2006, her vessel would change ownership as it was purchased by a private owner, who would store her alongside many other classic race cars from multiple disciplines.
It wasn't until 2013 where Felicity would finally emerge as a human-like spirit; a blonde, white young adult woman with white and blue garments. This came as a shock to the private owner of her vessel, but he immediately warmed up to Felicity and took her in as a daughter figure. Right from the get-go, Felicity was already interested in racing, owing to her vessel's history as a championship-winning open wheel car. From there, she began a small racing team with herself as the driver and her private owner as its benefactor, providing financial backing for the team. So far, the team has only raced in the Aeternam GT Rookie Series, scoring solid results, including a close championship victory.
Looking to rise further up in the motorsport ladder, Felicity would be approached by Laura Exige of the Midnight Evolution team. Her team would merge with Midnight Evo so she could race for them in the IMAS GT Championship in the AM division. This new bold step would be one of many to reach her eventual goal of joining the World GP herself to reunite with her original team all these years later.
