Profile:
Weiss is the daughter of former Lightning Car driver Sara Hockenheim, a driver well-documented for her tenacious, unrelenting racing style. She is incredibly prideful of herself, and is unwilling to admit weakness nor seek help, not even from her mother. Weiss wasn't even really pushed into racing by her mother, either. She was strongly influenced by her mother's career choice; Weiss thought that racers were a strong, independent kind of person, and she wanted to be just like that.
Weiss started karts as early as six years old, though she wasn't actually racing until she turned eight. Even on days where she wasn't out on the track, Weiss turned her parents' backyard into a makeshift kart circuit all of its own. This determination to dominate her competitors quickly translated into numerous decisive victories early in Weiss' career. Fast forward to 2014, where she became the youngest American Formula C series driver ever... and also won the league on her debut season. This angered quite a few drivers, most notably Michael Hoshi, who couldn't believe a prepubescent girl was even capable of those abilities.
Just to rub it in Hoshi's face even further in 2015, she did double duty in both the American F-C league and the US Clubsport GT championship entirely to spite him. She succeeded and gave Hoshi (among other drivers) yet another through beating. However, just winning constantly didn't really satisfy Weiss. She was, after all, still funded by her parents. Hoping to break away from the accusations that she was just a very well-funded member of "Mommy's MasterFund Motorsports", she seeks a GRL seat to prove her self-worth.
RP Notes:
- Weiss Hockenheim puts a lot of emphasis on self-worth and the theme of "proving yourself". She's not the type who wants to admit that her teammates, friends, family, or anyone but herself are the reasons why she's as successful as she is.
- Weiss is so bent on not getting help, that she views people who use their status to elevate themselves with a lot of disdain; pretty ironic considering who her mother is.
- Despite seeming cold and calculated, she uses her outward demeanor to shield away her insecurities. She has trouble in day-to-day social situations, and seems to go through her press interviews as if she was reading straight off of a script.
- Even though her racing history suggests she's American (and kind of is), Weiss was born in Germany, and prefers her nationality be listed as such.
- She thinks Michael's 'natural talent' is a load of horse crap, and holds a pretty big grudge against him for it.

Profile:
Taiga was born into the highly influential Fujiwara family, which would usually entail a life dedicated to maintaining the family’s vast financial concerns. However as the fifth child Taiga stood to inherit no part of the family business, and thus was free of the attention and responsibilities thrust upon her siblings. That was until age 5 when Taiga began to exhibit an exceptional talent for learning, and this once overlooked child was now the center of attention in the family. Be it artistic, academic, or athletic, no matter what challenge Taiga was assigned she was immediately able to complete it at a level far exceeding her peers. Taiga was quickly deemed a child prodigy, and her family salivated at the thought of what she could become.
Unfortunately Taiga was an unemotional child, rarely seeming to take interest in anything despite her successes. Specialists theorized that she was simply bored because nothing posed enough of a challenge to her. Brief stints in sports such as swimming, kendo, and baseball showed that Taiga had the talent to reach national level should she choose to pursue them. None caught her attention for more than a single season, however.
Much to the disappointment of the family members who had expected so much from her, Taiga floated aimlessly until highschool, never sticking with one thing long enough to make any real impact. As those people began to drift away, Taiga had an epiphany: It wasn’t that she didn’t find anything interesting, she just hated how patronizing it felt when the adults praised her. It made her feel like an animal in a zoo, and so she had subconsciously been trying to avoid impressing them in the hope that they would leave her alone. This realization would spark a dramatic change in Taiga.
While most teenagers go through some form of rebellious stage, Taiga’s came as a complete shock to everyone. She went from being a quiet, antisocial straight ‘A’ student, to a hyperenergetic mischief maker. It was as though all the energy and emotion she had repressed as a child had released at once.
It was around this time Taiga was old enough to get her license. Her parents were hesitant about letting her given her now unpredictable nature, which naturally just made Taiga want it more. They eventually relented, and Taiga passed with flying colours.
To say driving herself to school didn’t live up to Taiga’s expectations would be a rather severe understatement. It wasn’t long before the novelty wore off, and Taiga asked her parents if she could try karting. While against the idea in principle, her parents weren’t about to deny one of the very few requests Taiga had made for them. And so it was that at age 19 Taiga set foot on a racetrack for the first time.
Much to the shock of everyone, Taiga was exceptional...ly terrible. After suffering enormous shunts each of her first 5 laps Taiga was banned from the karting track for safety reasons. Nobody, least of all Taiga, could figure out what had gone wrong. She’d passed her driving test with flying colours after all, so it was undeniable that she was a capable driver. What was so different about karting?
After her worried parents took her to multiple specialists, the cause of Taiga’s struggles was determined. Because she had been subconsciously holding back throughout her childhood, Taiga had never truly pushed her mental limits. And now that she wanted to use those mental abilities, she was unable to regulate them.
To say that Taiga was unable to slow her brain down to the speed of the kart wouldn’t quite be accurate. Rather, it was that Taiga was subconsciously matching the speed of her body to the speed of her brain. Therefore while her brain was thinking 2 corners ahead she was also turning for 2 corners ahead, essentially ‘skipping’ the corner she was currently taking, much as one may skip words or sentences when reading too quickly. The suggestion from the specialists was simple: practice. And so Taiga bought a racing wheel and a copy of the newest *Racing Passion* game, and got to work. It was immediately clear that Taiga would struggle just as much in the virtual world.
For the first time in her life Taiga sucked at something, and she was loving it. She spent hours on *Racing Passion* every day, slowly getting better and better at synching her mind and body. Eventually her hard work would pay off, and soon *eyeofthetaiga* was showing up near the top of the lap time boards. An excited Taiga asked her parents for a second chance at the real thing.
This time (at a different karting track, she still wasn’t allowed back at the first one) Taiga *was* exceptional. With her mind and body now working in perfect sync she was immediately lapping near lap record pace, and her, ahem, *tiger-like* instincts caught the eye of a watching gentleman driver.
Said Gentleman driver was President of AtaGO!, one of the companies under the umbrella of the Fujiwara family, and a friend to Taiga’s father. As it turned out he was also looking for co drivers for his upcoming Saikou no Taikyu campaign. And so it was that Taiga found herself set to begin her racing career.
Over a single lap Taiga was fast -very fast- but she struggled with consistency. She needed to maintain absolute concentration to sync her body and mind, and the mental stress was taking its toll on longer stints, with small lapses in concentration frequently resulting in lockups or running wide. Still, her first year in racing could be considered a success, and it was clear to all watching that if Taiga could iron out the mistakes she could be a star.
For her second season Taiga would return to Saikou no Taikyu, and pair that with a Japanese Formula C campaign. Once again her raw pace was apparent, and she would take a couple wins in FC. Her inconsistency would see her throw away some strong finishes though, and she finished well down the championship order.
Her third season would mark a dramatic change in Taiga’s on track demeanor. In her first two seasons she had been rather passive in regards to her competitors, more focussed on maintaining her concentration and running her own race. With that no longer requiring her utmost concentration, Taiga was free to use some of her mental capacity for other things. Like overtaking, for instance.
Perhaps she was struggling to balance the increased mental load, or perhaps it was simply overexcitement. Whatever the case, Taiga’s newfound aggression would see the mental lapses and mistakes creep back into her driving. Her third season would finish much the same as the one before, though this time it was crash induced DNF’s dragging her down. She had won more races than any of her competitors though, and Taiga was ready to move on to greener pastures.
Later that year relatively unknown Canadian team Allstar Racing would hold a press conference at AtaGO! Headquarters in Japan, announcing that Taiga would be partnering rising star Weiss Hockenheim for the team’s debut JSA GT-Masters season. It was a move deemed terribly optimistic by the motorsport press. A young Formula C star jumping straight into the premier class of JSA-GT Masters was rare indeed, particularly one with such a brief competition history. ‘Too much too soon’ was a popular phrase getting thrown around on internet message boards. And there was certainly merit in those arguments. Taiga would struggle to match the speed of her highly rated teammate and the team would endure a troubled season, with promising pace marred by crashes and mechanical failures abound. Despite the team’s struggles Taiga showed impressive growth throughout the season. She had slowly begun to dial down her aggression, and by the end of the year the speed gap between her and Weiss had shrunk. While a more experienced driver may have been better suited to help the team find it’s feet, the pundits begrudgingly accepted that Taiga had shown she belonged in GT Masters.
RP Notes:
-Super aggressive on track, carefree and lazy off track
-Acts like a big sister to her teammates
-Almost always bright and cheerful
-Despite her aggression on the track her friendly nature makes her extremely popular off it, though her childish and carefree attitude can get on people's nerves

FULL TIME with Allstar Racing in IMAS GT Championship (Pro Class)
Profile:
While his friends looked forward to late Autumn when hockey season started and the ski resorts opened, Aaron’s favourite time of year was late summer. That was when the Lightningcar World Series came to town, and Aaron would spend race weekend with his nose practically up against the fence as he watched the cars fly past.
One driver who particularly caught his eye was a young German charger named Sara Hockenheim. As a child he was a fan of her aggressive, unrelenting style, and as he matured he found 2 other very large reasons to be a fan. Aaron’s dream was to join her on track in LightningCar, and he relentlessly bothered his grandfather Jim Miles, owner of Allstar Racing, to help him start a racing career. Aaron’s persistence eventually bore fruit when he hit highschool, with Jim agreeing to help him into karting on the condition that he help around the race shop.
You would have never known Aaron was a late starter by looking at his results, as his natural speed, coupled with the technical knowledge he gleaned from working in the shop, immediately saw him running at the front of the pack in local events. After a couple successful years in karting Aaron would move into cars, joining Allstar Racing for an American Formula C program. His first season would see Aaron start slowly, but by the end he was making regular visits to the podium.
Expectations for his second season were high, with Aaron and teammate Michael Hoshi expected to fight each other for the title. And with Allstar Racing gathering resources for a potential leap up to the LightningCar World Series there was more at stake for the two of them than just a title. Someone forgot to tell hotshot rookie Weiss Hockenheim though, and she blitzed the season, leaving Aaron to finish a distant 3rd behind Hoshi. The following season Weiss would join Allstar Racing, partnering with Aaron in the team’s debut GT season. And once again she would leave Aaron in the dust, entering the final race with an outside shot at the title while Aaron languished outside the top 10.
Getting thoroughly trounced by his idol’s daughter two years running would have a devastating effect on Aaron’s self confidence. Lightningcar, which had once seemed but a step away, now felt like an impossible dream. And when Allstar Racing announced it’s entry to the premier class of the JSA-GT Masters Championship Aaron’s name was nowhere to be found, Weiss would lead the team’s charge alongside newcomer Taiga Fujiwara.
Aaron would instead anchor the team’s GT Am entry, partnering Andreas Brunestud. And while the pair would have a solid if unspectacular season, scoring consistent top 10 finishes and a pair of podiums, Aaron could only look on enviously as Weiss established herself as a star in the premier class.
By the end of the season it was clear to see that Aaron had lost his love for racing, and though he hadn’t made it public he had informed his closest friends in the team that this season would be his last. After receiving an invitation to join Haruna Tsukishima’s postseason Pro Tuned invitational event, Aaron decided that would be the perfect finale.
Much to his own surprise Aaron quickly adapted his driving style to the unique demands of this totally different discipline. Come race time he would be right near the front of the pack, even pressuring Haruna herself before eventually falling back. For the first time in a long while he stepped out of the car with a smile on his face, and, after a stern lecture from Haruna, decided that maybe he wasn’t done with racing just yet. Aaron enters this season with renewed motivation and a desire to prove, mostly to himself, that he’s still capable of becoming a Pro. And maybe even challenging Weiss, on a good day.
RP Notes:
-Lacks self confidence, but attempts to cover that up with an outward show of bravado
-Generally casual and relaxed
-Though they started off as rivals, is starting to get along better with Weiss
-Has a huge crush on Sara Hockenheim (Yes, still)

Profile:
Katsuo Matsushita has a relatively normal and tame name, and aside from the very liberal application of various types of metal on his musical tastes, a very normal and average childhood. But you wouldn't get that impression from someone who used to compete at professional drifting competitions while hanging half of his body out and letting out an ear-searing hybrid of a banshee-like screech and a guttural beastly roar in the middle of a slide. Normally, such a stunt would be met with an instant disqualification from the competition, and for Katsuo, he would not be treated any differently.
Formerly a racer who had one half of his racing life in the not-quite-legal "touge" scene and the other half trying its damnedest to impress the judges at numerous semi-pro drifting competitions, Katsuo was good... but not a standout by any means. Sure, he was good enough to be competing at the top level of his discipline, but both on and off the track he seemed ridiculously normal. Katsuo needed something to truly make him stand out... and then he spent an entire week drowning his ears in the savage metal and drum-and-bass albums he could get his hands on.
During his week of musical immersion, Katsuo "brutalized" his drift car, smashing its panels with a hammer, lobbing bricks at it, and scraping his car keys all over; somehow these "modifications" got through tech inspection at the drift tournament later that week. Proudly showing his car's "scars", Katsuo was not satisfied. During a tandem run, he decided to pull a move no sane anybody would ever perform. Throwing his car into a massive slide, Katsuo loosened his restraints and double-flipped off the corner marshal before spinning out into the outside wall, ripping off his car's rear bumper and shattering the right tail light.
For his act of sheer insane jackassery, Katsuo was thrown out of the competition on the spot, but not before the crowd roared in absolute approval of his stunt. This is the kind of lifestyle Katsuo craves; when he's not throwing out ridiculous amounts of memorabilia to his fans, he's showcasing his brand of absolute insanity. Despite calming down considerably since that fateful day, Katsuo has set his sights on the Global Racing League to show off what he can do when his borderline-psychotic mindset focuses on more serious endeavors.
RP Notes:
- Katsuo has almost no sense of self-preservation on the track. While he's not TRYING to get himself killed, he tends to do a lot of rather dangerous stunts just because he believes he can.
- HAS. NO. SENSE. OF. INDOOR VOICE. At least at the track. Even in interviews, Katsuo almost always seems like he's one stupid question away from just howling at reporters.
- Despite being incredibly well-known in the drifting community for being an absolute psycho, local citizens in his hometown don't seem to recognize Katsuo's infamy. This is because whenever he's at home or just running menial errands around town, he quiets down significantly.
