Profile:
From the long, drawn out conversations Halley loves to ramble on about cars, you'd most likely assume that a woman like her lives and breathes the automotive life since her very birth... and you'd be right. Having grown up with most of her family being auto mechanics of some degree, it's no surprise that such a fiery passionate spirit for the automobile exists within her. Even her seemingly unenthusiastic and quiet adopted brother Anton "Brenhylr" Rockford deep down takes just as great of interest, but expresses his interest no where near as vocally as Halley does. If you ever bring up anything car-related towards Halley, make sure there's a chair nearby. You might be there for a while.
Though Halley has no well-documented early professional racing history, frequent participation in club and street racing early on was where it all began for her. Wherever there was a race or a meet around, she would immediately prepare a car and go to with zero hesitation. Many people at these events took note of the drastic changes she would make to her cars between events; from altered bodywork, to engine swaps, and even whole chassis changes, Halley's machines would be unrecognizable to their previous versions even to fans and frequenters. One fan described Halley as an automotive "mad scientist" , mixing and matching what ever and see what results came out of those changes.
On the road and track Halley loves to push her machines to their limit, squeezing every inch of performance possible out of them. However when it comes to battling another another opponent, she prioritizes keeping her machine in pristine condition over taking risky dives that could ruin one of her precious works. Halley's vehicles are like children to her, and though she wants them to perform well, she values each and every one of her cars highly - even giving them their own unique names.
When it came to homologated circuit racing, the idea did not entertain Halley to join in at first due to the less lenient regulations not allowing for absurd modifications to the cars. However, a single tour of the Team Pezzarinho headquarters insantly had Halley hooked, and her appreciation greatly increased for the development that goes on behind the scenes. Not long after, she accepted a spot in Team Pezzarinho's young driver's program to help develop her already existing skill set. It was then that her talent of wringing the most out of the car and setting blisteringly quick lap times was realized to those in the sports car scene, and instantly became a driver to look out for. She enjoyed several seasons racing in Pezzarinho's GTE-AM program before the team disbanded shortly after.
Though her future is unpredictable, Halley's only hope is that it involves getting her hands dirty with the dark grease from an engine bay. Whether it be a mechanic or a racing driver, as long as her life can involve a vehicle with four wheels, a steering wheel, and an engine, she's perfectly content with her life regardless.
Roleplaying Notes:
-Loves to talk about cars... a lot... maybe a little too much.
-When on the topic of cars and parts, tends to speak at exponential speeds.
-Always gives her own name to the car she's driving, regardless if there's an already existing name for the chassis.
-From the southeast USA, so she has a bit of a southern accent, y'see.
