Jason was raised as a single son of Englishman Carl Poland and Zimbabwean Margaret Poland [nee Sokoto]. His father moved from his home in Dover, England in 1980s, just after the country gained its independence, and was indirectly behind Harare's raise with medical and welfare resarching company called Equinox. As Jason was born and raised, during his end of education it was decided that in 2006 he would move to educate further in University of Cape Town Faculty of Humanities Department of Psychology, feeling personally that mental health is also a major part of human life that needs care. After graduating in 2011, he spent few years working for Cape Town City FC as club's Psychologist, and during that time spent a hot minute around the Killarney Motor Racing Complex, where he got interested in motorsport and car racing. In 2019 Jason convinced his parents to help him estabilish the business side of the racing team that would share the company name and promote the region alongside, and after fast grow both in Killarney and in Kyalami for short single seater races, he goes all in for GT and Endurance racing.

A daughter of one of Equinox' high level workers, Natalie grew just next to Killarney Motor Racing Complex, and from the early childhood was interested in gokarts. She began racing while being 7, eventually climbing to a victory in Young Drivers Karting Program. Their parents and current Team Owner Jason Poland met somewhere around 2016 during Jason's stint working with Cape Town City FC, and they were the "driving force" behind the birth of Equinox Inc. as a racing team.

Edgar grew up in a family that had their shares in Zwartkops Raceway Owners Club. Despite starting his first race at realtively old age of 17, from the first event of Open Formula he had a podium level pace. Met with Jason in 2018, as he was featured in African Formula 2000 Cup, when he won his race on Killarney Motor Racing Complex the same day as Natalie Campell won in Superkarts the same day, but few hours earlier. Fully joined the team for South African Clubsport GT Cup, as he won the series in his GT Car debut.
