Team Manager: Akira Hanamaki (Ricardo Lionheart)
Team Summary:
A result of the merger between Hanamaki Motorsports and The Maiden's Magical Garage, this team is a seemingly unlikely partnership between a wealthy playboy's pet project and a plucky little tuner shop local to Sendai Highland Raceway.
The Maiden's Magical Garage is, or at least, was run by the twin-sister duo of Kohaku and Hisui Motegi. The shop prior to the merger was best known for its engines, especially for their (ahem) twin-scroll, twin-turbocharged kits. They got the engineering and mechanical know-how from being taught by their family's rather extensive network of relatives, all of whom work for a variety of high-profile Japanese tuning brands. From this came the most famous of the Magical Garage's demonstration cars. Named the Ember Celica, the fire-breathing Time Attack car sported a bespoke high-downforce aerodynamics kit, and the sisters' pride and joy: a twin-turbo straight-4 outputting well in excess of over eight hundred horsepower. All of this power went through the front wheels, and it was a true madman's ride that only the very craziest could ever want to drive in.
Ember Celica and Hisui Motegi set the Time Attack world on fire, breaking several front-wheel-drive Unlimited Class track records at Tsukuba and Suzuka Circuit in 2014. Suddenly, the little shop went from being relatively obscure outside of their home prefecture to being superstars seemingly overnight. It was not the first time that the shop had built a fast front-drive Time Attack car, nor was it the first time they built an engine that put out over eight hundred horsepower, but it was the first time they combined both. It would also be the last time the shop ever built a demonstration car.
The reason why Ember Celica became their last demonstration car would be shown in their attempt to be the first front-drive to lap Suzuka in under two minutes. During a timed lap attempt by Hisui Motegi in August 2014, she ran the infamous 130R sweeping left corner very wide, slashing one of Ember Celica's front tires on the outside curb. In a flash, Ember Celica flung itself into the opposite guardrail at over 170 MPH (~273 km/h), heavily crumpling the right side of the car's chassis. Kohaku nicknamed this event the "130R Incident".
Prior to the "130R incident", the Magical Garage and their associate shops had also been supplying, maintaining, and fine-tuning the engines used for Hanamaki Motorsports' Japan Super GP and GT Masters programs. After the events that transpired, the two groups effectively merged on March 5th, 2015, becoming Sapphire Sportscar Tributes. The name comes from the very first Magical Garage demonstration car, a Toyota MR-2 personally built up by Hisui Motegi for 'touge' and track day purposes. It was named after one of their childhood friends who has long since passed on.

Summary:
The driver half of the Motegi twins, Hisui dreamed of being able to drive in the World Driver's Grand Prix at a very young age. She was considered to be far more energetic and playful than her moody and calculating sister, and thus her family eventually started her in kart racing after her tenth birthday. After some reasonable successes in some national-level series, she decided that GP racing probably wasn't going to be for her. Signing with a team in J-Speed Taikyu on her seventeenth birthday, Hisui looked to make an impact in both the tuning car and Endurance racing scene, where she was able to move up through the ranks.
After her sister graduated from a trade school run by the Yukihiro family six years ago, she joined back up with her sister to form the Magical Maiden's Garage, serving as a driver for their demonstration cars. Using her driving skills learned from Endurance and kart racing, Hisui piloted a number of her sister's madhouse contraptions to a variety of Time Attack records all over Japan. Despite receiving offers from a number of top-flight teams to compete in the J-SA GT Masters, she declined them all, going on record saying that "Nee-san is the one who matters most to me, both in my daily life and as a driver. We'll take you all on, on our own terms."
However, during a record attempt in August 2014 at the Suzuka Circuit, Hisui took an exceptionally wide line through the 130R corner, enough that the outside curbing unsettled her car, slashed a tire, and caused her to slam into the opposing barriers at speeds well of over 170 MPH on the driver's side. This knocked her into a coma that has lasted for nearly a year and a half, and took much of Spring and early Summer of 2016 to recover and rehabilitate from it. It was such a scary incident that it seems like Hisui's character has been completely turned upside-down; while she may still love and respect her older sister, she finds it difficult to move on from the fact that the car that nearly killed her was one built by the one who said she'd look out for her.
Roleplaying Notes:
- Extremely quiet, but when she speaks, her voice almost seems to boom across entire rooms.
- Can go from being extremely quiet to absolutely sobbing with not much provocation, even when not racing.
- Will drive just about anything despite her newly obtained fears of high-performance race cars.

% of Earnings Taken Per Race: 50%
Specialties: Pro Tuned, Grand Prix
Summary:
One-half of the Motegi Twin Sisters, Kohaku is (for the most part) the more reserved of the two. Born with a love of all things fast from an early age, her family were heavily involved in the auto servicing and modification industry. Taking up trade school in her late teenager years, Kohaku worked for a shop under the Yukihiro Service Centers brand, where she would learn the fine arts of car modding in the shop's afterhours. Kohaku began wondering what it would be like to pilot some of the cars she was servicing; the particular shop she was working for was popular with tuners and exotic car owners, so she decided one day to start her own tuning shop.
Established in 2011, the Magical Maiden's Garage made its mark on the map, being a very Toyota-centric tuner. With her big-dreaming sister Hisui and several other former YSC employees and engineers, Kohaku set out to take on seemingly impossible challenges. From 300 horsepower MR-2s that could tear Tsukuba in under 59 seconds, to the infamous "Ember Celica", Kohaku made it clear that she wasn't kidding when her shop was capable of "magic". After hooking up with Japanese endurance racing team manager Akira Hanamaki, she seeks to take on all comers in the Global Racing League, and take them on her own terms.
RP Notes:
- Tends not to speak a lot, so most of what's known about her is either through magazine interviews or from her family members.
- Has a tendency to throw people into the nearest structural column if she gets messed with. Maya Arima learned this the hard way.
- An absolutely hardcore Toyota fangirl. This is so bad she's willing to drive a Toyota GT86, but would probably say she wouldn't touch a Subaru BR-Z with a ten thousand foot pole.

% of Earnings Taken Per Race: 20%
Specialties: Touring Car, Oval Racing*
*when she has GOLD Classification
Summary:
An Australian Touring Car racing fangirl who has also watched far too many Chinese and Korean martial arts movies, Maya Arima is a young, brash, bordering on arrogant newcomer to sports car racing. She is particularly infamous at her local karting tracks, having been kicked out of the local leagues at the age of 12 for roundhouse-kicking a competitor after she was held up in a qualifying run. After her 14th birthday, she took up club-level Touring Car racing, where her rather physical overtaking style was far more welcomed, and yielded greater results. Those results included a championship victory in the 2015 Aussie Cute Bruisers Series, a series featuring 3/4th scale replicas of cars racing in various Touring Car championships.
(Work in progress)
RP Notes:
- Loves to pick fights with other drivers, especially ones she thinks are stronger than her, either physically OR racing-wise.
- Tends to look up to her higher-classed teammates as her "sensei", though if they prove unworthy, she's equally as likely to insult them.
- A very poor loser, known to cause problems if she feels a specific driver gave her issues during an event.
- Has calmed down with the karate antics since getting thrown out of her local kart racing league, but can still lose her temper over the slightest thing.

Specialties: Grand Prix, Endurance
Summary:
Sharon Altasia is a cunning, if somewhat "evil" driver originally from Archetype Racing Club's young driver program. Calculating and ultra cold, she plans every one of her moves seemingly years and years in advance, subtly manipulating the people that are associated with her. This is how she managed to land a seat in ARC's program in the first place, but her drives in American Formula C would have been championship wins had it not been for the existence of Weiss Hockenheim. As a result of being thwarted by Weiss, Sharon has made it her intention to move from being ARC's GTE PRO test driver to a full race seat with Sapphire.
RP Notes:
- Everything is planned out by her, for years, like some evil super-villain.
- Contrary to popular belief, she is not capable of mind control.

Initial Hiring Cost: 2,020,000 CR

% of Earnings Taken Per Race: 50%
Specialties: Grand Prix, Pro Tuned
Summary:
Literally the most unlucky driver in Japan Formula C ever, May Yumizuka has never won a single championship in her entire career. From being crashed out by impatient drivers, to the dumbest mechanical failures, whenever it looks like May MIGHT win a championship, something has to break. This led critics to think that she was incapable of racing at the higher tiers, especially as this happened to her despite being supported by a number of top teams. She decided to move over to Sapphire with the hopes of changing her luck.
RP Notes:
- Wants to be noticed for reasons other than crashes. She hates it when people talk about her crashing.
- Thinks about being noticed, and makes this really obvious on her Tripwire posts.
