Summary:
Born and raised in rural Idaho, Molly Hatchet Monroe grew up with a single dad after her mother signed away her rights to take care of Molly because she wasn’t ready for a child. Molly’s father Kieran - a real estate agent - gave her the middle name of Hatchet after the name of a southern rock band, and although Molly deeply despises her middle name, she’ll answer to the nickname “Hatch” after someone’s gotten to know her better. Molly was her father’s world, and she developed his mellow, easygoing personality.
When Molly turned ten, Kieran bought her a Murray-brand off-road go-kart for her birthday. It wasn’t the most dependable brand, but it was a start to her long lifetime love of racing. She raced it for the first time stock in a small, dead field right on the edge of her dad’s property; and she wore the kart practically to scrap metal after only six months of using it. She bought a second kart after saving up a month’s allowance, and her dad bought her another kart for Christmas that year… just in case.
Molly started a race organization at her school at the age of 12, having charged her classmates five dollars for a full day of racing on the field, which she marked and maintained with the help of her dad. This continued until she could finally reached the age where she could get her own truck and start joining state rally races - her dad as her agent the whole while, even to this day. After being on the state and occasionally the national level, Molly is finally ready to go pro - well, pro amateur, anyway - and her father will be right there by her side when she does.
Roleplaying Notes:
- Despite being named after a southern rock band, she is fairly mellow, easy-going, and active but not forcing much of anything.
- Knows what parts do, but has trouble in maintaining vehicles herself. Old field is now partially a kart graveyard due to this.
- Fan of slower paced musics, jazz and blues to pick, but isn't unfamiliar with more energetic stuff.
