Today's development update from me brings further development on the Driver Progression Tracker.
Driver Base Stats
When assigning base stat points for a Driver, you are now shown both the Maximum Stat points a driver of their level can have, as well as how many points are left to be assigned. A driver's stats are legal when all points are spent.
Specialty Points
A new, highly extensive table was added to show the effects of each Specialty a Driver can have instantly. Pick a Specialty by clicking the drop down triangle, and the character sheet instantly shows users what effects apply to what tracks.
Currently, the "don't add"/"cap at driver base stat" logic used by Special ranked Specialties is not implemented.
Back-end Work
In order to have Specialty stat changes show when one is selected, a large, hidden lookup table showing all the possible specialties and their stat modifiers is used as reference. All relevant data is pulled from this table. It was a nightmare to structure and much screaming was involved, so I demand headpats now. I SAID RIGHT NOW!!!!
Below is an image depicting the current state of the Driver Progression Tracker.
