Team Summary: Founded in 2013, Team Pole Position was idealized and brought to life by a Polish businessman after experiencing his first sports car race at the Nurburgring. Although the team managed to stay afloat throughout the next four years, they never had the ability to place high even in the gentleman’s cup. With dwindling sponsorship money and driver interest the team was up for grabs in 2017, sold to the highest bidder.
The highest bidder being Lenoil; more specifically the then new owner of Lenoil Lena Gura. Seeing as she wanted to keep the momentum of her family’s oil business going, she bought the team in hopes of using motorsports as a promotional tool. With Lenoil adorned on the car for the next few seasons, their luck had changed drastically, competing in the Open class for overall wins.
Though they never have won an event, they have gotten mighty close. They feel as if this is their year though and Lena is even feeling a championship. She usually takes dreams as signs of what to come, so it is safe to say expectations for the Polish outfit are very high for 2020.
