SYDNEY GT 300KM
Round 2 of the ataGO! J-Speed Association GT Masters
Round 2 of the ataGO! J-Speed Association GT Masters
Sydney Motorsport Park is a near-total contrast to Mount Panorama, with gentle sweeping curves over soft rolling hills and a rather short lap distance. This track replaced the Phillip Island Circuit on the GT Masters calendar in 2015, sharing the date with the World Time Attack Masters event. As a result, tuners from all over the Asia-Pacific region gather here. From the major players of the Tuner Kingdom to the local shops, this venue is one held in high regard; a good result here will thrust even the most unknown underground shop into the spotlight. For our GT racers, however, passing will prove to be a major challenge - expect class warfare and blazing hot tempers as PROs and AMs battle each other as often as rivals within their own category.

Special Rules
REDUCED FUEL CAPACITY
In compliance with the series regulations, the following car classes have their capacity reduced:
GTE PRO: -25% fuel capacity = 63 liters (it's usually 85)
GTE AM: -15% fuel capacity = 102 liters (it's usually 120)
MANDATORY PIT STOPS
You can't have a scheduled stint go beyond 53 laps - this simulates minimum driving time for Squad members.
PRO Strategies*
A one-stopper is the way to go here.
Only question is, do you stop early, or late?
Mediums seem like the right call here either way~
Time Spent on Pit Lane
A stop in pit lane will cost you around 23 seconds PLUS pit service time
Tire changes are ~8 seconds
Filling to full fuel is about ~21 seconds
A full service (tires + full fuel) stop costs you about 49-50 seconds
Tire Progression on Hards
Soft tires are about ~0.7 seconds FASTER at first
Medium tires are about ~0.2 seconds FASTER at first
1:17.4 ~ 1:18.1 -> initially
1:18.2 ~ 1:19.1 -> around 50% life
1:19.2 ~ 1:20.4 -> around 25% life
1:20.5 and worse -> 0% life remaining
Minimum Driver Conservation Stat
Tires drop below 50% life around lap 25 (~30-32 min) for Hards, lap 22-23 (~27-29 min) for Mediums, and lap 13 (15-17 min) for Softs
Tires drop below 25% life around lap 37 (~45-47 min) for Hards, lap 33 (~35-37 min) for Mediums, and lap 19 (~22-25 min) for Softs
Tires drop to 0% life around lap 49 (~1h 1-3 min)1 for Hards, lap 44 (~55-57 min)1 for Mediums, and lap 25-26 (~28-32 min)1 for Softs
Maximum Driver Conservation Stat
Tires drop below 50% life around lap 32-33 (~39-42 min) for Hards, lap 29-30 (~35-37 min) for Mediums, and lap 17 (~19-22 min) for Softs

If you're bad on tire wear, try the Hard tire instead of the Mediums.

* Data was gathered using a 20 Speed, 20 Finesse driver - expect the actual times to be a bit slower
Notes:
1 Driver will pit in for tire wear at this point
2 Driver must pit in for refueling before this point
