LONG BEACH GT GRAND PRIX
Round 1 of the IMAS GT Championship
Round 1 of the IMAS GT Championship
The Grand Prix of Long Beach plays host to the opening of the IMAS GT Championship, as the only street circuit on the calendar. This tricky ribbon set on the gridlocked coastal Californian streets is a haven for fender-bending, close-quarters combat with its sharp corners and bumpy city surfaces. Overtaking due to the tight walled track boundaries makes racing here tricky at best - the only real overtaking spot is into turn one, and even then it's sketchy as all get out.

Special Rules
REDUCED FUEL CAPACITY
In compliance with the series regulations, the following car classes have their capacity reduced:
GTE PRO: -10% fuel capacity = 76 liters (was 85)
GTE AMs have their usual fuel capacity (is 120 liters)
PRO Strategies*
Expect fuel to last to around lap 68-70 due to reduced fuel tank size
A one-stop race seems like the safest way to go here, but if you're bad on wear, this will be a long race for you
Time Spent on Pit Lane
Tire changes are ~8 seconds
Filling to full fuel is about ~22 seconds
A stop in pit lane will cost you around 35 seconds PLUS pit service time
A full service (tires + full fuel) stop costs you about 58 seconds
Tire Progression on Hards
Soft tires are about ~0.7 seconds FASTER at first
Medium tires are about ~0.3 seconds FASTER at first
1:15.3 ~ 1:15.7 -> initially
1:15.8 ~ 1:16.6 -> around 50% life
1:16.7 ~ 1:18.0 -> around 25% life
1:18.1 and worse -> 0% life remaining
Minimum Driver Conservation Stat
Tires drop below 50% life around lap 29 (~34-37 min) for Hards, lap 26 (~30-33 min) for Mediums, and lap 16 (16-19 min) for Softs
Tires drop below 25% life around lap 42-43 (~51-55 min) for Hards, lap 38-39 (~43-48 min) for Mediums, and lap 23-24 (~27-29 min) for Softs
Tires drop to 0% life around lap 56 (~55-57 min)1 for Hards, lap 49-50 (~1h 0-4 min)1 for Mediums, and lap 30-31 (~35-38 min)1 for Softs
Maximum Driver Conservation Stat
Tires drop below 50% life around lap 37-38 (~44-47 min) for Hards, lap 34-35 (~40-42 min) for Mediums, and lap 21 (~21-25 min) for Softs
Tires drop below 25% life around lap 55-56 (~1h 7-10 min)2 for Hards, lap 50-51 (~1h 0-4 min)1 for Mediums, and lap 30-31 (~34-38 min)1 for Softs
Tires drop to 0% life around lap 73 (~1h 32-35 min)2 for Hards, lap 65-66 (~1h 18-23 min)2 for Mediums, and lap 40 (~47-50 min)1 for Softs

* Data was gathered using a 20 Speed, 20 Finesse driver - expect the actual times to be a bit slower
Notes:
1 Driver will pit in for tire wear at this point
2 Driver must pit in for refueling before this point
