HOKKAIDO GT 300KM
Round 5 of the ataGO! J-Speed Association GT Masters
Formerly the Mikado Research & Development High Speed Test Track, the Hokkaido Speed Ring has been a mainstay of the J-Speed GT Masters since 2005. A simple layout characterized best by its steeply banked corners, top speeds of nearly 200 MPH (or 320 km/h) are easily attainable with good slipstreaming off of another contender. Because of the high average and maximum speeds attainable here and the track's lack of heavy braking zones, racing at this track has more in common with big-name cycling races than with regular GT competitions - massive multi-contender clashes included. Winning at this twisted velodrome will require equal measures of guts, tactics, guile, and luck.
NPCs to watch:
While all teams will be bringing their upgrades to bear in this highly competitive second half, Mikado Project DSRE are looking particularly intent to do well on their home turf. With a strong desire to win races off of pit road, they've been particularly intent on racing a very efficient race. This strategy gives them the equivalent to running with Max Mileage hybrid mode bonus.
Tsuchigami no Kyojin are hurting badly after a poor result for both cars at the Buriram GT 300 KM. In contrast with their rivals at Mikado, they'll be putting emphasis on pace and power. Both their PRO and AM entries effectively have the Power UP hybrid mode bonus.

Special Rules
REDUCED FUEL CAPACITY
In compliance with the series regulations, the following car classes have their capacity reduced:
GTE PRO: -25% fuel capacity = 63 liters (was 85)
GTE AM: -15% fuel capacity = 102 liters (was 120)
MANDATORY PIT STOPS
You can't have a scheduled stint go beyond 50 laps - this simulates minimum driving time for Squad members.
OVAL BALANCE OF PERFORMANCE
Due to this track's unusually high-speed biased characteristics, a special Balance of Performance will be in effect to reduce the gap between all teams and car types.
