Welcome back, team principals! Enjoyed your break? I know I did~!
I've got some last-minute family business I need to sort out, so unfortunately we'll not be returning to racing on the previously planned June 2nd date. Instead, we'll be starting a week later, on June 9th. Unless something else comes up, this will be the definitive date for the return of series broadcasts.
However...
I can see that the previous schedule was difficult to keep up for both myself and our fellow players. Between track AI waypoint issues, balancing changes, and even a track model version switch mid-event, a lot of unforeseen circumstances put us way off course. So now, we're considering this a "building up" year and want to give you the most enjoyable versions of each event possible before we expand the campaign or dive off to other canon championships and special events.
While I've already planned for Daytona to happen on the weekend of the 9th-11th, I would like to know which League schedule revision you prefer moving forward. There are two options in the spoilers below...
Every Other Week
Races are held every two weeks per League. This means there is a race every week, but we alternate which League is on that weekend. This is more relaxed than the original schedule, but leaves me no breaks except for the one week break between Fuji and the two Grand Finales at Suzuka and Sebring. It means we have time for another full campaign starting in September if we stick with this scheduling style, but we honestly won't have much time to build storylines or have breathing room for ourselves. If you'd prefer I try to get more racing done this year, go with this.
Realistic
Races are held (mostly) every three weeks per League. This means there's a large, and ultimately more realistic gap between events if you're only in one League or the other, but it gives you plenty of time to escape RP writer's block, build storylines and for me to rigorously test race league venues well ahead of schedule. It also gives me time to get a one-off canon special event at Le Mans ready in October. Outside of a few potential one-off events after that, November through late January will be an off-season period for us to build up and plan for 2023.
