hello yes; with the nurburgring 24 coming up in real life in the next few weeks, I thought it might be fun to host a little themed event in GT7, since it might be a fun nostalgia trip to GT enduros of old, plus I kinda miss community racing lol
-700pp limit for 2WD, 680pp limit for AWD cars (I know this would be based on the honor system since I can't enforce two different limits, but I think I can trust you all on this)
-sidenote: yellow headlights are encouraged, but not required
-no nitrous because that's way too expensive lol
-otherwise, anything goes; good luck
-all 3 racing compounds will be allowed
-0x fuel usage, 3x tire usage
-no boost, real draft, real offtrack grip loss, etc
-track limit penalties will be set to weak, no other penalties/ghosting
-mechanical damage will be set to weak, meaning your car will suffer damage in accidents, but it will fix itself after around 20-30 seconds or so
-random weather, except for some a segment of guaranteed heavy rain around sunset (plan for weather segments 3 and 4 most likely)
-note, random weather does have a possibility of rain, so be prepared for the possibility of more rain at some point
-the session will open on may 14th (update: sunday!!!) at 18:00 GMT for open practice/qualifying, then the race itself will probably start at around 18:30-45 depending on how fast people filter in and set laps
and yeah uh, just play nice I guess lol; if you see someone doing something stupid or rude (blocking, excessive application of 'the chrome horn,' ridiculous exploits, etc), let me know and I'll make sure to talk to them; just remember, this is all for fun!
also, if there is sufficient interest, I will be hosting a 1 hour race for 620pp cars a week prior
-same regs/settings as above (awd cars will be allowed to run at 620pp)
-weather will be random all the way through, so rain won't be guaranteed at all
-taking place exactly one week earlier than the main event, may 6th at 18:00 GMT (similar timing for qualifying and stuff
ADDITIONALLY: if these events go well and get decent participation, I may record points from both and set up a championship of sorts going forwards; if you are interested in that, please be sure to show up and do your best for both races lol
