About
Formed by wealthy Swiss business owner Tobias Zelster just in 2018, LightningSpeed Racing Team is a dark horse newcomer to the racing scene. Though the team owner has no racing experience himself, he's always been a fan of motorsports and cars in general ever since he was a kid. With grand success in the timepiece business, Zelster is now dispensing some of his wealth doing other things that he loves, and beginning a motorsport team was one of them. Sportscar racing was always his favorite to watch above all else, and to field a few cars with his own business was the ultimate dream that came true.
Though the team has had light participation in racing, both Zelster and his team manager Mason Grudenwalde, a full-time season debut is upon them, and they have high hopes for the talent that's been recruited to point the newborn team into the right direction.

Interests: Sim Racing,
{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}With his family moving to Australia after he turned 8 years old from Cambodia, Kenni would be lucky enough to be immediately exposed to the thrill of touring car racing at his local track, which just so happened to be the Mount Panorama Racing Circuit. Taken aback by the monstrous Almighty Super Tourers thundering down the mountain, he was eager to become a racing driver himself. However, money was not that plentiful in his family, and investing in a racing career would leave his family penniless. That didn't stop Kenni nor his parents from trying to keep his interest alive though, as he would be given a sim setup to practice and race on.
The learning curve of a racing simulator really tested his patience at first, but over time he developed a calmer and more consistent driving style, and began to place very high on sim leaderboards worldwide. It wouldn't be long before a top-level e-sports team would recruit his talent as well as lead him to opportunities in the real world. Eventually a lone touring car team would bite the bullet and give an experienced sim racer a go at real world racing in touring cars. Though the first half of his season was just as much of a learning curve as the sim was originally, he quickly adapted and began winning races and podiums towards the end of the season.
With a long racing career ahead of him, Kenni hopes that his sim experience along side the current experience he's gained racing touring cars will help him advanced further on into his dream career. He has his supportive parents to thank for his kickstart, and he'll always make sure to do them proud wherever he goes next.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}There once was a racer named Drew
Who had a goal he would pursue
His dream it would be
To win a Grand Prix
In karts many wins he’d accrue
From karting he moved into cars
He thought he could go pretty far
But he ran out of money
It wasn’t so funny
Perhaps he’d never be a star
But Drew didn’t waste time feeling blue
He knew just what he needed to do
He’ll follow his dream
And find a new team
Perhaps that new team could be you?
Who had a goal he would pursue
His dream it would be
To win a Grand Prix
In karts many wins he’d accrue
From karting he moved into cars
He thought he could go pretty far

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Siblring to well-known tuner and race driver Halley Rockford, Anton “Brenhylr” Rockford is an adopted child of the Rockford family. There’s not a clear record of their past before their adoption other than having origins in Russia, and Anton themselves had no recollection of their life before then, but they were warmly welcomed into the family regardless. Growing up, they were (and still are) the quiet, emotionless type, not interacting with any peers throughout most of their school life. The only person they had their full trust in was their big sister, and they secretly and greatly admired her work in the car scene. This gave them inspiration to put their foot in the door, and begged Halley to teach them about cars.
After gaining experience working on builds with his sister, they weren't only satisfied with learning how a car functions; they wanted to out-right race. Fearing that her precious machines might be turned into crumpled up beer cans in the process, Halley suggested that Anton started in karting or club racing to enhance their driving skills. Driving came surprisingly quick to them, and it didn't take long for them to develop a driving style equally as cold and calculated as their personality was. This alongside their unparalleled ability to manage pack racing made their skills noteworthy among the rest of the grid, and it wouldn't be long before professional teams would take notice.
As much as they wanted to follow their sister in the tuner scene, their heart was satisfied being in the place of regulated professional motorsport. They would take up being in a regional GT4 series as well as a support series for the IMAS GT Championship. Continuous successes would follow them, both literally and romantically. Unbeknownst to him, one accidental spilled drink onto a driver he never met in their life led to his first relationship that has still been going strong for a few years. That driver is Amy Radcliffe from Raiden Motorsports, who had just finished watching the support series race from the sidelines before then.
As much as they keep their feelings closed in and cut off, Anton is deeply loving and caring to their teammates, family, and significant other. Though they don't remember much from their early life, they remember it being extremely lonely and isolating. Being surrounded by different people that support them as well as finding passion in something that they're dedicated to has given more purpose to their life, and Anton hopes that they can offer that same love and support back when people need it the most.

Rushdi Hakimi

Gender: Male (he/him)

Birthdate: May 26th

Birthplace: City/Town, State/Providence/Prefecture, United Arab Emirates

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Born into a family whose heritage traces back to royal kings, emperors, and similar ruling officials, Rushdi Hakimi grew up surrounded by insane wealth and massive displays of excess. But for him, the appeal of mirror-sheen pearl-and-diamond floors, entire rooms stacked with gold bars, and a mansion as tall as some "small" skyscrapers wore thin as Rushdi matured. Sure, he was going to be all set for his entire life, as would his potential future children and even grandchildren. Having taken up a mixture of arts ranging from traditional paintings to composing bangin' hard drum-and-bass tracks for the discerning party-goer, Rushdi quickly made his impression known on a worldwide scale.
Rushdi's "partying artist" lifestyle spilled out onto the streets one night while he was touring overseas in Japan; having brought a massively customized Toyota Supra to the Wangan Line, his highway cruise would quickly flare up into an epic 200+ MPH brawl with several of the Japanese underground's fastest racers. Lacking the mechanical respect and driving skill to actually keep up, however, Rushdi ended up in a high-speed slide. He was lucky not to wreck anything but his ego that night.
Having eaten a rather massive slice of humble pie, but still running with a true driving lover's adrenaline, Rushdi did not give up racing. He did decide that street racing was definitely not the way to go, and thus moved to Japan to learn the art of car control. There, Rushdi raced in the humbler sports coupes native to the country. He soon moved on to club-level Grand Prix racing to discipline his inner aggression as a driver, and he would be rewarded several impressive podium finishes throughout the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Since becoming a racer, Rushdi has calmed in his temperament considerably. Despite this, Rushdi seems to attract a big rave party wherever he races. If he's not laying down driving beats for the dance floor, he's tearing up the tarmac alongside his fellow racers. For him, the WRA events are where he can let both his inner competitor AND his inner artist out. For him, the sport appeals because in his words, "The car does not care about your nationality, age, gender, or orientations. If you are a good racer, you will, of course, win."
