Our strong performance at Road Atlanta after getting pole and finishing fifth is a very small consolation prize given the events that have transpired today at Laguna Seca. Apologies first and foremost to all our fans, and all the members of staff we had brought out for this event - this result was unacceptable to me and does not represent us as a racing team or as a brand. Connor McElleby @cmedrives_63 Motorsport can be unforgiving sometimes. Having our engine detonate like that is just a perfect example of what can go wrong, and it's not like other teams didn't have issues today - I know Raiden had a major engine issue in qualifying, and not five laps into the race Aces High also lost an engine. Acerola Speedworks just went out with a gearbox issue... it honestly could be the heatwave sweeping the area that's causing all these issues. rolling gentleman @a_rollin_guy @cmedrives_63 that was a brand new engine for you guys right? hope geoff is ok, never seen him that dejected when getting out of a car Connor McElleby @cme_drives63 @a_rollin_guy Can confirm that was a brand new engine from BMW. And yeah, Geoff is ok, just real upset about the whole situation, even more so than my dad is. We'll rebound from this, even if it takes until next season.

We inform you though that @rápido_alister is MIRACOLOUSLY alive and conscious and is being currently being kept under strict observation at the Mie Prefectural General Medical Center. We all wish him well and we hope he can get back to race soon! (cont.) Bobster Racing Systems @brs_Bobster As for the cause of the accident, we found is imputable to a simultaneous catastrophic steering and suspension failure that made the car virtually undrivable. Official statements to the press will follow. Still, we would like to thank all our fans for the massive support this season. Hasn't been easy and we weren't expecting to finish it this way. Our promise is to do better and deliver results in the next one. See you all again soon!

I wanna thank all the people that worked hard to make this possible including my two daughters @chiaki_fjn and @ibuki_fjn and our most important sponsors, the Hope's Peak Academy and Arkbird Aero Parts. Chiaki Fujinami @chiaki_fjn I'm so happy that, after a long time, we finally won the J-Speed GT Masters. The GT-R worked pretty good all season, thank you @fujinami_rt for giving a chance to me and @ibuki_fjn back in 2017 and also thanks to @yrk_shinigami for helping us during the Suzuka 1000KM. Ibuki Fujinami @ibuki_fjn That was a perfect and calculated drive, i still can't believe we are going to Le Mans. I'm so excited to race there alongside my family and all the @fujinami_rt people that made this possible. Yuriko Shirogane @yrk_shinigami @chiaki_fjn I'l be glad to help anytime you need a driver. Haruna Fujimoto @mt_haruna_ghost When i started racing with @fujinami_rt back in 2008 i never immagined that we were going to win the J-Speed GT Masters. The team will now return to the headquarters in Zimbabwe to evaluate its future. Our next step forward will most likely be closer to African soil and downsizing to more local series. We sincerely hope that this series won't be the last time you heard about us and it is more of a farewell brake than a good bye, but only time will tell... -Jason
