racing guy @racingguy27382718@larisimracer well normally they run the #9 as their first driver lineup, and they're still running the #99 on the new livery, not only that, but in the background last season's livery is also the #99, which means that unless they've bought a new chassis, this is the ROCKER-3 chassis that Oakley and Wieth used to win last season, so this probably points to them doing something different with the team this season, maybe a GT Suzuka effort?

It's only the first test session, but the results put forth by the team across both categories is something to be optimistic about. Especially from the GT Suzuka side - our lineup was confirmed late so admittedly we thought we were a bit behind other teams in terms of getting Mr. Malarek and Dr. Lorentzen acclimated to the car.

What a confidence-builder, especially after the year we had. Sure, we lit up the timing charts, but speed doesn't make up for balance... and this was the best balanced the car's ever felt since I've been driving here. We also did manage to avoid the, uhhh... shenanigans... in the second session.

@a_rollin_guy It was myself and Victor, yeah. I radioed the team asking if I should bring it in at the time to avoid potential chaos because we had no idea what their driver was doing. We were told in the drivers' briefing that if you have a problem, pull off the racing line and use the apron until you can make it to the pits safely at first opportunity... they didn't do that.

What a season opening race! Points finish for both cars, and a very strong showing in GT Daytona with a P4 after starting from pole. Normally missing out on a podium would be upsetting, but I speak for everyone when I say the team is more than pleased and relieved that both cars made it to the finish in one piece after our prior endurance round struggles. Special thanks to @andrea_varzi and @palomeras_velocidad for stepping in and doing wonderful jobs as our Daytona endurance specialists - you may not see them again in the IMAS series, but you'll be seeing them elsewhere soon!

Nico wasn't joking around when he told me after his stint the tire degradation was gonna be bad. Shame we made the wrong tire choice, but for my first race at Daytona, I had a very pleasant and enjoyable time. There were a large number of vintage Alfas and Ferraris in the infield, and I think I was inducted into their ownership club as an honorary member... maybe?
