Dream GT Championship "A grand showdown of the greatest drivers and the most beloved idols. Who will emerge victorious?" Introduction to Community Test LeaguesWelcome to the newly-opened testing grounds for our community! The Dream GT Championship is one of several series in a non-canon crossover community event for fun, but more importantly, a test for new rule sets and game mechanics developed by our team in a more, shall we say, chaotic environment! The Community Test Leagues employ much more rapid fire interactivity than a canon season of RHU, in order to ensure as much data and opinions can be gathered from these events. It's all in the goal of building up towards Canon Season 3 and ensuring everyone is on-board with rules and mechanics that satisfy their needs. Series IntroductionThe Dream GT Championship is a league focused heavily on vehicle development; with a reduced car line up compared to what will be in the finalized set for Canon Season 3, it comes down to engineering the best car possible by gradually evolving either the Aerodynamics or Engine of the team's machine of choice. In addition, teams will need to watch their funds carefully, as there are no race-by-race prize credits! Teams can control their expenditure by increasing or decreasing the size of their Staff in two facilities, the Design Center (which builds Aerodynamic upgrades) or the Factory (which builds Engine upgrades), or by hiring better or worse drivers. Unique to the CTLs is a Transfer Phase where teams can switch drivers if required. Sepang Wind Riders have negotiated a full-season technical and financial partnership with Beacon Motorsport Academy, under the condition that the driver signed for the beginning of the season shall be one of their active students. Team principal Puteri Sepang therefore will nominate Weiss Schnee for the first two rounds of the season after her display of impressive consistency in private testing. Schnee's contract to the team will be reviewed after the GT Live of Sepang.

herecomesthepastaYou'll need to select a valid driver from the Driver List linked in the first post. More drivers will be added for upcoming CTLs, but those will come after the first two rounds of DGTC at the earliest.

Project Vermillion HQ, Japan
Akiha sipped her tea as she browsed the driver applications sitting on her desk. Since filing Project Vermillion’s entry form she’d received a mountain of resumes from interested drivers, and the first race was fast approaching. It was time to make a decision. Sighing, Akiha picked a resume from the pile at random.
“Hmm, let’s see... Arturia Pendragon, huh. Nah, can’t afford her. And the catering fees would be through the roof.”
She tossed it aside and grabbed another. “Hatsune Miku. Didn’t she win a GT championship a couple years ago? She might be worth looking in to.” Akiha frowned when she saw the requested salary. “Eh, maybe not. Her music sucks anyway.”
Another for the trash bin then. After many resumes met a similar fate, Akiha finally came across one that caught her eye. “Noel Vermillion, now that’s a good name. Let’s see what she’s about.” Akiha furrowed her brow in concentration as she studied the resume. “Hmm… her tire preservation is good I guess.” She frowned. “Pity about the lack of aggression though. And the speed. Not what I’m looking for at all. Ugh, and her name was so perfect too.”
Akiha moved to throw this one in the bin as well, but changed her mind and put it on the maybe pile. She moved on to the next resume. “Tohru Kobayashi… but other than the name the resume is blank?” She leaned back in her chair. “Yo, chief mechanic! Yeah you, the Canadian! Get in here!”
The unlucky crew member joined her in the office. “I have a name, you know.”
Akiha waved her hand in dismissal. “Yeah yeah, whatever. Know anything about this Tohru Kobayashi? Something about her resume intrigues me.” The crew member frowned. “What, that it’s blank?” He sighed. “Kobayashi’s bad news. She’s been kicked out of multiple teams for driving like an absolute lunatic, and when she’s interviewed she always insists that she’s actually a dragon in disguise. You don’t want anything to do with her.”
Akiha’s eyes lit up. “Driving like a lunatic, huh? Yeah, that sound like what I’m looking for.”
The crew member’s face went pale. “Wait, you can’t be serious… right?”
Akiha grinned at his reaction and picked up her phone. “Yep, it’s settled. Tohru Kobayashi, you’re hired!”

Caution! If you would like to announce car upgrade plans for your team, please announce it BEFORE Thursday, midnight GMT -5 (Eastern US time)!! While I know that's not a huge amount of time to decide, upgrades do take TWO races to develop, so if you wait until after this weekend, your upgrades won't come until the week after next (Race 5 & 6)!!!

Momoko Murasama I would like to upgrade my facilities to lvl 3 on both Factory and Design centre. And a question about the upgrades. The rules state that only 5 upgrades can be developed at the same time. Does going from a lvl 1 upgrade to a lvl 2 take up one of those 5 spots? Or is it one per category for upgrades [ie: Bottom End, Exhaust, Side Skirts etc...] and that I can just stack on all the parts available at the current facility level?

Factory and Design Center facility levels aren't counted in the upgrade count. If there are multiple components in a given category (ie. Side Skirt) at the same level, you can only pick one or the other. This was in a previous iteration of the rules and I accidently left it out. The upgrade category doesn't matter, all upgrades count +1 towards the maximum count of 5, uh, 2 at a time.
