The driver transfer phase for Rounds 3 and 4 will be ending this Friday at 7 pm, Eastern US time (GMT -5). Driver transfers are optional and if you wish not to select another driver, your current driver's contract will be renewed for these races. Also, if you want your upgrades to be completed by Race 5, you'll need to submit car upgrade plans before then as well if you are not already developing some.

Project Vermillion Timing Stand, Bathurst
Tohru crossed the line to raucous cheering from the pitwall. On the timing stand Akiha punched the air and roared in delight, while beside her the chief mechanic leaned back and let out a relieved sigh.
“I can’t believe it, we actually won.”
Akiha raised an eyebrow. “Of course we won. Why do you sound so surprised?”
“It’s not that I’m surprised, just…” The mechanic paused. “I felt some sort of chill down my spine when Tohru crossed the line. Like there was something intensely wrong with the world.”
“Oh, that?” Akiha shrugged. “I felt it when Luna Corse won at Yas Marina as well. It seems to be a normal thing, I wouldn’t worry about it.”
“I don't know, something weird is going on. I felt pretty devastated about Weiss’s crash for some reason too. And I don’t even know her.” The mechanic shook his head vigorously as though to clear his thoughts. “You know what, you’re right. It’s probably best not to think about it. Anyways, congrats on the first win boss. Seems like you might be pretty good at this team principal thing.”
Akiha shot him a smug grin. “This is just the beginning. It’s strange though, I seem to remember you being awfully skeptical about this when we were starting out.”
He shrugged. “Hey, I’m happy to be proven wrong.”
Just then a series official politely tapped Akiha on the shoulder and had a quick word with her. She stood up and took off her headphones. “I’m off to meet Tohru on the podium. Grab the crew and meet me back at the garage.” She raised her voice so that the rest of the crew could hear. “Drinks are on me tonight!”

FormidableYou don't need to develop Large Front Canards before Canard Endplates, since you already developed a Level 1 Car Upgrade. Do you want something else? (I realize this is a bit dumb of me, but I realize Rule 4.2. doesn't specifically point out that it HAS to be an upgrade of a certain type, just one of a previous level.)

Team data sheets have been updated, detailed carnage and upgrade plan reports will be released soon (very busy and costly weekend). The driver transfer phase is now open again, and will close October 4th, midnight GMT -5 (US Eastern time). You can also make upgrade plans, which will be ready in time for Race 7, the GT Superstars of Autopolis. Be warned! I have made some major changes to the Car Aero Upgrades section of the upgrades catalog. If you don't want to view the document in the OP, here are the list of changes: - Downforce Endplates and Low Drag Endplates only require a Level 2 Design Center, but require you to complete Canard Endplates or Downforce Canards first - Downforce Endplates Mk2 and Low Drag Endplates Mk2 only require a Level 2 Design Center instead of a Level 3 one - All Side Skirts and Wing Addons upgrades now only require a Level 2 Design Center instead of a Level 3 one - High Downforce Wing and High Efficiency Wing only require a Level 3 Design Center instead of a Level 4 one - Downforce Spoiler no longer requires the High Downforce Wing to build despite being only a Level 2 part - Downforce Floor and High Efficiency Floor only require a Level 3 Design Center instead of a Level 4 one Also, teams can now develop three car upgrades at a time, but the third car upgrade MUST be for Next Season's Car!

Honda and Lexus will be running new "Spec II" versions of their original DGTC cars. These cars suffered from significant performance deficits which regular upgrades would not be able to make up for, so I had to rectify that without altering the character of these cars. Honda NSX JSA-GT New front and rear wing aero parameters from Kainé-sama, with significantly reduced overall drag and improved downforce balance ~18% more engine torque Lexus LC-F JSA-GT~4% lower Center of Gravity (improved low-mid speed cornering) Moderate overall front and rear wing downforce increase ~9% improved diffuser downforce

Project Vermillion will upgrade it's factory to level 3 and begin development of Forged Comp+Pistons and Titanium Valve Springs. Parts will not be prototyped because we blew up last race and that's just playing with fire.
Factory Level Upgrade: 2 -> 3
This season Upgrades: - Forged Comp+Pistons
- Titanium Valve springs
Next Season Upgrade: "Wait, boss, don't you think we should put some development into aerodynamics as well? The car is going to be a monster to drive with all that power." Akiha frowned. "We're an engine tuner, what do you expect? Who cares about that aero bs anyways?" The mechanic looked surprised, "Uh, you? You always said that while going fast was most important, it was just as important to look good doing it. You're kind of notorious for your outlandish fenders, huge spoilers, and deep dish rims." It was Akiha's turn to look confused. "For some reason that sounds familiar, but you must be thinking of someone else. Maybe Haruna or Yukiho? I don't care how my cars look, as long as they can send those punks in their GT-Rs home crying." "Huh..." The mechanic pondered a moment. "This is another one of those situations that just seems wrong..." Akiha shook her head sadly. "You're like a lost puppy, so confused. But you're a good mechanic so I'll put up with your weirdness. Be thankful." The mechanic rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah, I'll be forever in your debt. I'll get to work on those upgrades, boss. At least consider the aero work though, we're got the capabilities and I'm sure Tohru would appreciate it." When he had left the room Akiha leaned back in her chair and sighed. She didn't want to admit it, but as visions of widebody 911s danced in her head she had to accept that the mechanic's words had brought forth the worries she had been trying to ignore. She was feeling more and more like she was out of sync with the world. She shook her head to clear it of such thoughts. She hadn't been getting enough sleep, that was all. Focus renewed, Akiha stood up and cracked her knuckles. She had a championship to win. Momoko Murasama Quick question: I assume upgrades don't carry over to next season? Also there's an error on my finance sheet, $100,000 was taken off for facility costs the past 2 races but I had a level 2 factory so it should be $150,000.

aarrorTo answer your question firstly: upgrades do carry over into next season. At the current rate of development, teams that have been keeping up with car upgrades should start next season with 10 of the 38 upgrades developed. I plan on introducing more upgrade iterations on the engine side for next season. I also apologize for the mistake in finances.

Hmmm...there's an error on my finance sheet, I had a level 2 design center in the last two races, and I only paid for a level 1 design center, I should've paid 150k CR instead of just 100k CR. Let's move on to the upgrades... Mooncraft's factory will be upsized to Level 3, and the following upgrades will be developed: • Extra Size Exhaust • Downforce Side Canards • Anti-Lag System - NEXT SEASONNo prototypes will be installed for the upcoming races. CURRENT FACTORY LEVEL: 3CURRENT DESIGN CENTER LEVEL: 2Momoko Murasama

Sepang Wind Riders extend Weiss Schnee's contract for an additional 2 races. It is likely that she will be part of the team for the remainder of the season. SWR will prototype a Stand Wing for the next two races. Also, a Downforce Floor and Downforce Endplates Mk2 will be developed towards next season's car.
