“Alright” Aaron conceded to a smug Akiha as shots of the Aegis Technodrive McLaren retiring from the lead flashed up on the screen “I’m forced to admit that your theory is starting to look pretty solid.”
“Of course.” Akiha waved her hand dismissively. “In this worldline I am favoured by fate. No matter what decisions I make, it's a given that everything will work out in my favour.” She sighed. “I suppose I should be pleased, but it rather dulls the sense of accomplishment.”
“I get what you mean, but I’m not going to complain about being on the other side for once.”
“Indeed.” Akiha smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “I think I’ll take the podium this time, you get the crew ready for a night on the town. And Aaron?” The smile was genuine this time. “Project Vermillion has never won two races in a row before, in any timeline. I expect our evening to reflect that.”
Project Vermillion HQ, Between Sepang and Hokkaido
“How’s the hangover?” Akiha sat behind her desk wearing an amused look as Aaron entered her office, looking for all the world as though she were suffering no ill effects herself.
“Ugh.” Aaron held his head. “You are far too chipper for 6am. Especially after last night.”
“How could I not be?” Akiha spread her arms. “It’s not every day you get to plan a duel with Fate.”
Aaron shook his head. “A duel with fate? Alright, you’ve lost me.”
“It’s more of a test than a duel, really. We find ourselves in a worldline in which so long as I act within reasonable parameters any action I take will result in an outcome that favours me.” Akiha grinned, and Aaron thought he saw a hint of madness in her eyes. “But what if I don’t act within reasonable parameters? How far can I push Fate before it decides to push back?”
Aaron’s eyebrows creased in concern. “I’m not sure I like the sound of that.”
“Oh you don’t need to worry your pretty little head about it.” Ahika handed him an envelope. “You leave tonight for a vacation in Maui.”
Aaron reluctantly accepted the envelope, if only to stop Akiha from waving it in his face. “What the hell are you planning that you need me out of the country for? The more I hear the more worried I get.”
She clapped him on the shoulder, but didn’t meet his eyes. “I’m sorry, but this is something I need to do. I can’t have you getting in my way.” She guided Aaron towards the door.
“I don’t know what you’re planning, Akiha, but whatever it is you don’t need to do it by yourself. Let me help, for better or for worse we’re in this mess together.”
“Hah, since when did you have such an inflated opinion of yourself?” Akiha smirked at him, and just like that the Akiha he knew was back. “We may be in this together but we’re hardly equal partners, I’m the boss and you’re just a lowly mechanic. Don't forget your place.”
“Yeah yeah, I can tell when I’m not wanted.” Aaron shook his head and gave a rueful smile. “You’re not going to listen to me anyways, but please don’t do anything too crazy.”
“Me? Never.” Akiha slapped him on the back. “Enjoy your time in the sun, if all goes well it’ll be over before you know it. See you in the next worldline!”
As the door slammed in his face Aaron’s blood ran cold. “Wait! What do you mean by that!? What are you planning!? AKIHAAAAAAA!”

Race Day is almost here! So before we get racing, we'll give you the low down on what we need from you throughout a race phase. Before Practice- Submit AT LEAST one Tuning Setup using the formatting below to my private/direct messages. How many total Tuning Points can be spent on each Tuning Setup you send is in your Team Sheet. Aero Ducts: x / 10
Downforce: x / 10
Engine Map: x / 10
Suspension: x / 10- Confirm with me which Tire Compound you want during Practice 1 and 2 Before Qualifying & Race- Notify me if you'll run your car's Engine Mode in Normal, Sprint, or Super Sprint mode. Each successive mode gives +6 HP but -1 DP - Tell me which Tire Compound you want me to use for the Race - Optional: If you want Tuning Setup changes, you can still change to a new setup After RaceRemember that you can spend a maximum of 60 SP (Support Points) after every race!- Have you failed to finish the race? If so and it resulted in car damage, you need to tell me how many DP to fix and if it's a Standard Fix (15 SP per DP) or Quick Fix (5 SP per DP). - Optional: If you want more Tuning Points or Car Upgrades and have SP to spare for the Phase, post in this thread.

Round 5 of the GT Master League Yas Marina Circuit is a blender of technical corner complexes punctuated by long straights, set on top of a lavishly luxurious artificial island for the Emirates' ultra-wealthy and powerful. The first half of this modern motorsport facility's Grand Prix layout is relatively fast and flowing, with a huge back straight presenting opportunities for slipstream passes. As you approach closer to the harbor side, however, the route transforms into a nightmarish, slow, and angular ribbon of grey. Searching for the perfect tuning setup here will have teams stuck between a twisted love triangle of speed, handling, and efficiency. This is almost certainly a two stop race. Unless you're a Master ranked Blocker or LightFooted, forget about one-stopping this.

Filling to full fuel is about ~16 seconds
So a full service stop + pit lane entry/exit time is ~42 + 14+16 seconds
Tire Progression on Mediums/Hards
Soft tires are about ~0.8 seconds FASTER at first
Medium tires are about ~0.4 seconds FASTER at first

2:01.1 ~ 2:01.9 -> around 50% life
2:02.0 ~ 2:03.5 -> around 25% life
2:04.0 and worse -> 0% life remaining
