Race Day is almost here! So before we get racing, we'll give you the low down on what we need from you throughout a race phase. Before Practice- Submit AT LEAST one Tuning Setup using the formatting below to my private/direct messages. How many total Tuning Points can be spent on each Tuning Setup you send is in your Team Sheet. Aero Ducts: x / 10 Downforce: x / 10 Engine Map: x / 10 Suspension: x / 10 - Confirm with me which Tire Compound you want during Practice 1 and 2 Before Qualifying & Race- Notify me if you'll run your car's Engine Mode in Normal, Sprint, or Super Sprint mode. Each successive mode gives +6 HP but -1 DP - Tell me which Tire Compound you want me to use for the Race - Optional: If you want Tuning Setup changes, you can still change to a new setup After RaceRemember that you can spend a maximum of 60 SP (Support Points) after every race!- Have you failed to finish the race? If so and it resulted in car damage, you need to tell me how many DP to fix and if it's a Standard Fix (15 SP per DP) or Quick Fix (5 SP per DP). - Optional: If you want more Tuning Points or Car Upgrades and have SP to spare for the Phase, post in this thread.
Racing Heart GT Tourist Trophy Round 6 of the GT Master League A centerpiece of motorcycle grand prix racing, TT Circuit Assen's layout mixes winding sections that become excruciatingly slower and then opens up with increasingly brisk kinks and long sweepers. As the track was originally intended for motorcycles rather than cars, its boundaries are rarely more than three cars wide. In a strange but very intentional paradox however, a few key overtaking opportunities do exist - if one is willing to trust their rival contenders to give them space. Traffic jams will be especially problematic here which makes pit timing absolutely critical to victory. Layout preview: Battle DataGeneralNumber of Race laps: 66 laps Qualifying Duration: 30 minutes In-Universe Race Time: 2:30 PM, June 20th 2021 Track Type: Racing Circuit DeadlinesTuning Setup submission: August 20th, 7 PM US Eastern/midnight GMT Strategy submission: August 21st, 7 PM US Eastern/midnight GMT Twitch Broadcast Time: August 22nd, 5 PM US Eastern/10 PM GMT Special RulesNo special rules. PRO Strategies* Maximum stint length before refueling is 57 laps Due to the large amount of "high energy" corners, stint lengths around here may be long but lap time impact is HUGE - don't stay out for too long! This is a one stop but timing will be critical to success (as will qualifying, of course)
Time Spent on Pit Lane Expect to spend about 33-35 seconds on Pit Road Tire changes are ~14 seconds Filling to full fuel is about ~16 seconds So a full service stop + pit lane entry/exit time is ~35 + 14+16 seconds
Tire Progression on Mediums/Hards Soft tires are about ~0.7 seconds FASTER at first Medium tires are about ~0.3 seconds FASTER at first 1:30.4 ~ 1:30.8 -> initially 1:30.9 ~ 1:31.9 -> around 50% life 1:32.0 ~ 1:33.4 -> around 25% life 1:33.5 and worse -> 0% life remaining
Minimum Driver Conservation Stat Tires drop below 50% life around lap 27 for Hards, lap 23 for Mediums, and lap 14 for Softs Tires drop below 25% life around lap 40 for Hards, lap 35 for Mediums, and lap 21 for Softs Tires drop to 0% life around lap 531 for Hards, lap 46 for Mediums, and lap 28 for Softs

GT Grand Prix of Portimao Round 7 of the GT Master League The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve is a high-tech facility that mixes long straights, big braking zones, and rolling sweepers into a thrilling rollercoaster circuit. Despite its young age compared to other motorsport venues, those who know of Algarve's magic sing high praise for its driving experience, but racing here is tricky even at the best of times. Few overtaking opportunities exist at this circuit, and the ones that do will challenge even the steely of contenders to make a move. Turns 1 and 3, "Primiera" and "Lagos" are where drivers can attempt a power move, while the awkward line in Turns 10 and 11 ("Portimao") leaves drivers wide open to attack. Layout preview: Onboard Lap: Battle DataGeneralNumber of Race laps: 65 laps Qualifying Duration: 30 minutes In-Universe Race Time: 2:30 PM, August 22nd 2021 Track Type: Racing Circuit DeadlinesTuning Setup submission: September 10th, 7 PM US Eastern/midnight GMT Strategy submission: September 11th, 7 PM US Eastern/midnight GMT Twitch Broadcast Time: September 12th, 5 PM US Eastern/10 PM GMT Special RulesIncreased tire wear - for this race, the effect of Conservation on tire wear is significantly increased. Your strategy plans may be affected by this - see the PRO/AM strategies below. PRO Strategies* Maximum stint length before refueling is 55 laps The increased tire wear makes 2 stop strategies on Mediums viable, but it's a maximum commitment kinda move. Drivers with poor tire wear (Aggressors, Skirmishers, Hotlappers) will be agonizing over whether 1 stop or 2 stops are better, but there's no debating that timing is everything If you're way behind in the standings and have lots of Engine Durability left, now's the time to Super Sprint
Time Spent on Pit Lane Expect to spend about 33-35 seconds on Pit Road Tire changes are ~14 seconds Filling to full fuel is about ~16 seconds So a full service stop + pit lane entry/exit time is ~35 + 14+16 seconds
Tire Progression on Hard tires Soft tires are about ~0.7 seconds FASTER at first Medium tires are about ~0.3 seconds FASTER at first 1:36.4 ~ 1:36.7 -> initially 1:36.8 ~ 1:37.7 -> around 50% life 1:37.8 ~ 1:39.4 -> around 25% life 1:39.5 and worse -> 0% life remaining
Minimum Driver Conservation Stat Tires drop below 50% life around lap 20 for Hards, lap 17 for Mediums, and lap 10 for Softs Tires drop below 25% life around lap 30 for Hards, lap 25 for Mediums, and lap 15 for Softs Tires drop to 0% life around lap 391 for Hards, lap 33 for Mediums, and lap 20 for Softs
Maximum Driver Conservation Stat Tires drop below 50% life around lap 28 for Hards, lap 24 for Mediums, and lap 15 for Softs Tires drop below 25% life around lap 42 for Hards, lap 36 for Mediums, and lap 22 for Softs Tires drop to 0% life around lap 562 for Hards, lap 481 for Mediums, and lap 29 for Softs AM StrategiesMaximum stint length before refueling is 50 laps The increased tire wear will make it much harder to pull off a one-stop here. Aggressors, Hotlappers, and Skirmishers (particularly Rookie ones) will have to decide between one stop on the Mediums or Hards, or if a two-stop on Mediums is the right call here If you're way behind in the standings and have lots of Engine Durability left, now's the time to Super Sprint
Time Spent on Pit Lane Expect to spend about 33-35 seconds on Pit Road Tire changes are ~14 seconds Filling to full fuel is about ~16 seconds So a full service stop + pit lane entry/exit time is ~35 + 14+16 seconds
Tire Progression on Hard tires Soft tires are about ~0.7 seconds FASTER at first Medium tires are about ~0.3 seconds FASTER at first 1:43.0 ~ 1:43.6 -> initially 1:43.7 ~ 1:44.2 -> around 50% life 1:44.3 ~ 1:45.5 -> around 25% life 1:45.6 and worse -> 0% life remaining
Minimum Driver Conservation Stat Tires drop below 50% life around lap 18 for Hards, lap 15 for Mediums, and lap 9 for Softs Tires drop below 25% life around lap 27 for Hards, lap 23 for Mediums, and lap 14 for Softs Tires drop to 0% life around lap 361 for Hards, lap 30-31 for Mediums, and lap 17-18 for Softs
